How do you imagine the sexual live of eldar and dark eldar?
>>47722005
Nonexistent, just like their fanbase.
>>47722005
I don't.
Eldar put on some masks and then go nuts. Maybe masks that represent Isha.
Hey guys I made a card template for a possible MEME Magic trading card game.
Haven't come up with any good rules but a feature could be 'DUBS' (And trips and quads and so on). The idea is you roll two dice (if dubs, three if trips, etc.) and if they are both the same number it triggers the effects of whatever cards you have. This card (Smug Pepe) has an effect that grants dubs.
I'm going with an ancient egyptian theme because of Our Lord Kek.
Tell me what you think and if you have any ideas!
>>47721925
When you're assured to get dubs you only have to roll one dice.
>>47723128
nah it's more like "roll until you get dubs. all rolls until dubs don't count"
>>47721925
This is a bad idea. I would help you, but this is literally cancer incarnate.
What if all magic was just either illusion or divination?
So what if all magic is just magic?
>>47721832
But the wrong kind of magic.
>>47721773
Then it'd be similar to RL magic with a bit more oomph, I guess. Most sorcerers and shamans are illusionists and/or diviners.
What if Alpharius/Omegon hadn't decided that trusting the Cabal was just the best decision ever and had sided with the Emperor? How would this have changed the Horus Heresy? How would it have effected the Imperium later on? Would it have really changed anything at all, reallyy?
>>47721664
Well judging from the shitty plotline that being stuck in the golden throne was Big E's plan ALLLL ALONG YOU GUIS! Probably not.
Realistically, all the Traitor Primarchs and most of their command structure are blown the fuck up by a fusion warhead carried by a Alpharius lookalike at Istavvan V when they're having a big strategy meeting or something, and the Salamanders, Iron Hands, and Raven Guard show up to find the traitor legions leaderless and slaughtering one another in a AL fueled witch hunt.
>>47721664
Just accept the true truth (pic related)
I think people might be overestimating how effective the Alpha Legion is as infiltration,
I mean, they only really went after the Ultramarines in canon during the Horus Heresy and they didn't manage to do all that much.
I don't think they'd just be able to just end the betrayal at Istavvan V with no effort. I could see them pretending to join the traitors and then turning on them during the Siege of Terra, however.
Are close combat titans worth the points?
>>47721401
They don't even make sense in-setting, why would they be worth anything?
Titans exist only to bring Capital-ship grade weaponry to the surface of a planet and mount it on a mobile profile with as little a horizontal coverage as possible.
>>47721401
Given that titans are usually target priority #1 in any game they're in, I would imagine that a melee-oriented one would typically face one of two situations:
1. Get destroyed before they get into melee range, be it to melta-spamming infantry, shooty Titans, etc.
2. Manage to get into melee range, but are so heavily damaged by that point that they don't accomplish much before dying anyways.
3. Fight in a game against an opponent who happens to be fielding another melee superheavy,...

>one of two situations
My bad, I meant three.
>So, you truly are...the Sisters of Battle...
Really GW? Really?
Not this shit again.
What?
>>47721294
Is this in reference to some SoB announcement I'm not aware of yet?
Hey /tg/, I'm in a bind. I'm running a session tomorrow afternoon for members of the stalker general in /vg/. I got caught up doing some shit after work and only have the barest outline of tomorrow's session. I could really use some location + anomaly/artifact/mutant/inorganism ideas, or just general set pieces. If anyone has anything to suggest I'd appreciate it. I have the PDF if anyone needs it.
Bumping with related pics.

MtG is unbalanced. There needs to be more blue counter cards.
>>47719892
I thought avatar of the resolute was pretty balanced? What are you bitching about.
>>47719892
Explain what makes this a good card.
>>47719892
Yeah, but WotC thinks that control and combo are "bad", and "toxic to the community".
So Blue is only gonna get shitty Cancel or worse cards. No Counter....
Okay /tg/, I've gone full autismo and decided to get into a miniatures game. Sell me on your favorite one.
I'll play anything if its good enough, but here are some considerations:
>can easily scrounge up $100-$150 to start with
>no friends willing to jump in with me as well atm, a strong community is a must
>prefer minimal downtime unless the opponents turn is interesting enough
>like to be able to interact with/ respond to opponents
Anything...

X-Wing probably fits this best. All the rest either have no community, or the ones that do (Warmahordes, 40k) can be started for $150 but easily balloon in price and may end up with long inactive times (40k especially as you take turns playing).
Infinity fits well but isn't as popular as these 3 games.
>>47719688
>no friends willing to jump in with me as well atm, a strong community is a must
go down to your flgs and see what they're playing then, we can't really tell you this
>>47719705
>>47719841
Both of these are the best answer I can really picture, you really have to give us some idea of what's popular in your region.
That said, Infinity absolutely fits the bill from what I've played.
Hi /tg/, I have kind of a silly question.
I remember playing d&d a long time ago and me and my brother had a running joke, where, if you rolled a 1 or some low value while attacking an enemy it meant, "ohhh you fucked up really hard" (even though the low roll didn't have a meaningful impact on the outcome of the attack because we weren't taking it that seriously.)
Now, I basically understand that you could contrive some way of determining an "extra-bad" outcome of an event if someone rolled poorly or made a series poor rolls for a skill...

/tg/ tends to hate fumbles on 1s (along with critical successes on skill checks).
Think of it this way. A trained but novice swordsman, making 1 attack per turn, has a 5% chance of rolling a 1 and hurting himself. And a highly skilled swordsman, making 5 attacks per turn, has a 25% chance of rolling a 1 and fumbling an attack? That's ridiculous.
>>47719457
This. Its already enough that the incredibly skilled swordsman already failed their swing against an easy target, but forcing them to stab themselves in the foot or whatever is just retarded.
So you would say, in that case, that rolling a 1 was (presumably) just an unsuccessful attack with no special significance attached to it?
'Why are there so many chaos gods? They can't all be omnipotent at once! This lore sucks!'
ITT: questions that people who don't understand 40k and lovecraftian [inspired] lore ask.
>>47718714
>and lovecraftian [inspired] lore
>thinking that the Chaos Gods are anything but Greco-Roman Gods viewed through a Catholic Church lense
For real though, the 40K lore is actually complex and deep when you start poking around in it.
>>47718714
I think a better question is why there are so few Chaos gods.
>>47718714
tbf, they aren't omnipotent. If they were then they wouldn't be warring with the Big E in the first place.
Last saturday, or maybe sunday, some people rolled up a new Spess Mehreen chapter. This is a follow-up thread to create some more fluff for them, if anybody cares/wants to do that.
Okay, so we're an Iron Hands successor, founded in the 40th Millenium, on a Crusade. We hate Heretics and have a tendency to destroy everything. Being an IH descendant, we have a fondness for bionics but we’re not as manic about it as our predecessor.
Our Occulobes are oversensitive, which gives us 'night vision' but makes it hard for us to see in 'daylight', but are otherwise fine mutation-wise. Because of this Bionic Eyes are the most common augmentation to be seen in our chapter.
One of our old Chapter-Masters was a fucking badass...

/tg/ help. Im in 4 different campaigns but it still isnt enough. What are some vidya that can fulfill my craving?
>>47718430
I'm enjoying Sunless Sea, though it's balls hard and every time I think I'm starting to build up momentum I just die.
Though I started playing yesterday, so that might have something to do with it.
>>47718430
How the hell can you be in 4 different campaigns and STILL crave more?
>>47718561
Desire to play behaves like a perfect gas, and will expand to fill all available schedule space if permitted.
Eventually available time will contract, and you will then find yourself short on time for mundane socializing and necessary chores/drudgery of living, and have to start bowing out of them until you return to a more feasible level..
Stat me, /tg/
