is this a decent system to get a bunch of my friends who are curious about PnP RPGS into more crunchy systems later on? also, how difficult to DM is it? I'm a first time DM

Powered by the Apocyplse games typically are good introductory games. You can get an understanding of the rules just off the character sheet since they detail the actions you can do. So, they can jump into them easily but also get an idea of what playing RPGs is like.
These games require a very particular GMing style, which is basically little to no prep time, with big focuses on the story evolving naturally from the play and how characters are created together in the session 0/first session, because there's...

Navy test pilot Lieutenant Mike Adams, beautiful medical doctor Eve Carson, and brilliant Japanese scientist Suji Yamaguji are pioneers from Earth, flying a fantastic new type of spaceship on mankind's first journey to Mars!

Question: Multibasing, yay or nay in 9th age?
“Lilly.” You mean to shout but your lungs have forgotten what oxygen is, so it comes out as the merest whisper. Your head spins for want of breath. Half-running and half-falling, you rush over and check her pulse.
Nothing.
Maybe... maybe you’re just not doing it right?
Nothing.
Maybe… Maybe…
Her face is cold.
You feel something welling up in you. You have no idea what the feeling it but it’s a poison. A fatal poison threatens to asphyxiate you as you look into Lilly’s half-open eyes…
…
Poison?

Okay, alright, can't panic and grieve over Lilly now, it'll just get us killed too. Need to think. Staying presents too great a risk - we should get out and find someplace safe before we plan our next move.

Also, in the interests of fairness, what's the worst adventure?
On a new computer and need to replenish my list of boons. Both magical and mundane need to be on here - I need something to give my party when they do things well, or examples of items that their foes are using, etc.
Since I literally have zero, I'm just going to post character art with cool armor and stuff to bump the thread. But I'm looking (mostly) for things with no people in the pictures, in a fantasy genre, though anything goes. Thanks!

I'm trying to finish the MWO crusader orthographic, though it's ridiculously hard after having done 60 hour work week.
What up fa/tg/uys, want to open some EMA?
We are going to open this box in pools of 6 boosters, then build a 40 card deck for each pool. I'm terrible at sealed, and really not that good at magic in general. Any input, critiques, or discussion is always welcomed!
Updates will be slow, so bare with me!
Other than the big name cards, I'm pretty unfamiliar with this set, and will be reading every card. When I'm done, these cards will be used for jank EDH decks.
Messy.
That's better.

Greetings gents, continuing a thread from yesterday, I'm working on a campaign setting for my group that revolves around bronze-age civilizations where most of the wildlife is various dinosaurs. To that end, I'm looking for images of bronze-age armor and weapons, as well as some more exotic dinosaurs for a party that mostly only knows the stuff from Jurassic Park. (Pic related) Any ideas for dinosaur-related plot hooks would be appreciated as well.
>>47826107
>Postosuchus
>Dinosaur
I guess my advice for making "accurate" dinosaurs is to remember most were small. And the big scary macropredators were actually pretty rare and usually acted in ways the movies wouldn't usually show.
Spinosaurus, for example, behaved basically like a modern crocodile. Good for a river hazard.
>>47826107
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/UsefulNotes/Dinosaurs
TVTropes' page on dinosaurs is wonderfully extensive. Read the whole thing
>>47826200
True, it's not really a dinosaur, but it certainly makes for a rather interesting surprise when the party stumbles across it. Basically, I'm trying to avoid some of the more obvious choices in favor of the bizarre and scary.

About as subtle as a kick to the head. I was hoping Wizards would be a bit more clever about this. I'm so sick of eldrazi. Both my favorite planes were ruined by them now.

Hello, /tg/!
I'm running an Iron Kingdoms campaign, and am in need of fantasy and steampunkish maps without any kind of grid.

Cool, I was just about to start an Iron Kingdoms campaign myself. Splurged a bit for some excellent tilesets on roll20.
I can share some maps I made when I get home in a few hours.
I also made some token frames for use with tokenTool if you're interested. They look like pic related when used.
