This my playmat. I feel like I need a new one. Maybe with CIA?
Also, what kind of dice do you guys get? I was thinking about getting the Chessex Pound-o-Dice. I use a lot of counters with my current standard deck and I feel like it wouldn't hurt.
And what sleeves do you use? I have dragon shield mattes, but I get sweaty hands and the sleeves get sticky really fast.
>I have dragon shield mattes, but I get sweaty hands and the sleeves get sticky really fast.
Have you tried washing your hands before you play? Is it just really hot and humid where you live? I can't even imagine being so sweaty during a game that it would end up on my hands and cards, and I get sweaty fairly easily.
I disapprove of your choice in mat.
Not because of any political allegiances or motivations, but because you have traded memes for a sense of humor and now are less of a man because of it.
I feel sorry for you, but I extend no pity towards you.
>>47906747
It gets really hot and humid where I live. I don't also know if its a nervousness thing.
I take a medication that makes me very thirsty, and I drink a lot of water. Literally more than a gallon a day. So, I don't know if that amount of liquid is causing me to sweat more. I do wash my hands and use hand sanitizer, but they get sweaty in the middle of a match.
So I'm starting a D&D 5e campaign soon. I will be playing as a halfling bard, who instead of singing will be cooking to boost morale and stuff like that.
I am however pretty new to the whole D&D universe and could use some help with comming up with good recipes to use!
>>47906263
There's no single D&D universe. However if the GM isn't using a premade setting, then the generic western fantasy tropes are your friend, that's what he most likely is going to default to. Then again none of the setting material I can think of focuses on food, so just copy LoTR for your recipes and you'll do just fine.
>>47906263
If you can hang around this thread until 2pm EST, I have a pdf with a table you may find useful.
>>47906263
Make up your own recipes. It'll be great. You'll add to the campaign world. Make sure to add little tidbits. Stuff like "I learned this one from some gnomes who lived by the beach" or "This recipe was taught to me by the one halfling who was named an honorary dwarf".
All of them, gone. Yes, I know I'm an idiot for not having them backed up somewhere.
Yes, I know the collection probably wasn't that great by most standards, only a couple of gigabytes.
But god fucking damn it. I built that collection with a lot of searching, trawling through almost forgotten links to find some truly obscure shit.
I even paid for some of it.
>>47906184
Are you looking to replace it anon?
>>47906286
I can barely remember what kind of stupidly obscure games I had at this point. Honestly, this thread is kinda pointless, it's just me bitching.
Sorry, but I hold no love for frogposters.
Random generator thread.
Let's talk about random generators /tg/. I've personally been using a lot of http://fantasynamegenerators.com/ to quickly make up new names for my npc:s when I GM, because I hate names.
What other good random generators are there? Lately I've been wanting a random generator that simple gives me a few personality traits that I can quickly apply to spontaneous NPC:s to give them more personality.
If you don't use random generators, how do you pick names for your NPCs?
>>47905487
>If you don't use random generators, how do you pick names for your NPCs?
My NPCs usually have improbably apt names. Like a pirate with weather magic named Eismeer.
Yeah, I'm really uncreative, so I just name characters an adjective or noun from another language.
>>47905487
donjon.bin.sh has all kinds of awesome generators. That's my go-to.
>>47906021
>Yeah, I'm really uncreative, so I just name characters an adjective or noun from another language
As long as you're consistent and characters from the same culture have names that at least look like they could have come from the same language, then that's cool.
The idea of a random fantasy name generator is appalling to me. How is it supposed to know what kind of place your setting is?
Actual monks not wearing armor aside, where does the concept of monks being supernaturally agile when completely unencumbered?
Is it just D&D or there's more to it?
I'm kind of a newfag here so i'd be glad to hear how the whole thing evolved throughout the years

this is where all new fags to this board should go. it explains all
Hong Kong movies that had shaolin monks portrayed as martial arts killing movies punching and kicking everything to pieces. Real shaolin monks also are good martial artists, but they also train to use weapons and even armor I think despite their usual portrayal in movies.
I don't know how you missed the kung fu movies and crazy amazing monk feats. In the movies especially, it's a celebration of physical skill without any reliance on armor or even weapons in most cases.
So teeg, I was thinking of running a Bebop campaign. Regular anime bullshit aside, I was actually hoping for more of a... I don't want to say "realistic" system (fuck doing realistic space battles), but I'd like it to stay somewhere in the realm of decent Sci-Fi. Dice pools or d20 would be preferred, but I'm pretty fucking desperate so I'll take what I can get. Same goes for preference on a rules heavier system over a Lasers and Feelings style mini system. I've heard mention of Stars Without Number and Traveler floating about, but don't...

Cowboy Bebop features people that are generally standard humans. You could go with GURPS Lite and run it easily enough. A good amount of crunch for only having like 30 pages.
>>47905094
Saga edition star wars MAYBE. You ever ran rogue Trader the premise is already there just subtract all the angry aliens -n- shit.
We had BESM (Cowboy Bebop too) game long ago and it was horrible because there just wasn't enough rules to play it effectively. The problem might have been that we would have needed more than basic riulebook to play it though, so if you're willing to hunt down all the other books it might work better. This was with third edition.

Use stats for Time Elemental, and add the vampire weakness where they take 1/3rd their HP in damage every round they're submerged in water, as well as vulnerability to cold and water-based attacks

Last time, the international mercenary group Vanguard had a run-in with Werwolf-77 resulting in a roaring fire-fight across an old farm in Argentina.
Lime Viper and Blue Rat have both sustained heavy casualties!
Our own strike team has one confirmed KIA on Agent Chrome, and Agent Eight is MIA - his vitals are rapidly flunctuating.
Werwolf Personel has been pushed back to the newly constructed complex and mostly contained.

Why are you still travel in that lame wagon pulled by those lame horses, anon?

soup /tg/, Im trying to find a good system to run a campaign in Westeros. I know that white wolf made a game for it, but not only can I not find PDFs for it, Ive heard its awful.
Any ideas?
Also general game of thrones thread
>>47900362
You could try the Green Ronin version of A Song of Ice and Fire. I own the books, I've never gottenthe chance to play them because my players have no paitence to learn a new system and only one of them has watched the show. But I assume the system is decent since /tg/ has been making houses with that system.
>>47900400
I didnt even know that existed. Ill have to look into it.
>>47900362
If you don't like the published ones, drop girls on top of Westeros. It's got gritty murder death for mortal heroes and can handle any of the weird shit too. Also, wacky fun critical hit tables too
