Lets forget the fact that he is a pretty bad commander for werewolf tribal.
how do you build a deck around Ulrich as him being the commander
There will never be a turn in edh multiplayer where he flips normally unless you go full stax.
>>47923766
you can always just skip your own turn and hope no-one does anything on your end-step
the flip side basically reads "destroy target creature"
i guess these are auto include to have a chance at flipping
>the latest versions of D&D, Exalted, and World/Chronicles of Darkness all still separate "Strength" and "Constitution/Stamina" but have everything related to physical finesse still fall under "Dexterity"
When will this die?
>>47923596
Right. It should at the very least be divided between agility and precision.
>>47923596
I think you just made a classic blunder: your pic, which is hot, is more interesting than your OP, which is obvious.
Ca/tg/irl thread?
DnD will never escape cargo culting. Last time DnD tried to be good, a thousand voices cried and screamed that it was different.
Exalted still uses, as its base, a system made for simulating being a vampire.
I don't know why the TG community is like this, but for a sizable contingent, it is. If you try to change something for the better, people will cry and stamp their feet.
Talk commons to each other, be polite, speculate on whatever comes to mind, etc.

Playing Tortured Existence. I am hoping for some new Black Madness cards to play with.
Play at an LGS on the outskirts of town.
>when you have an "I Win" button but you can't abuse it or else the GM is going to go Rule Zero on you for being too optimal
>>47923276
>When you want to roleplay and face actual challenges but another player has an "I win" button and murder-hobo's his way through every encounter and problem in the campaign.
The solution is to not play games that have I Win buttons. The job of the game designer was to make sure the game was playtested appropriately and rigorously.
Or, alternatively, if you're playing a game where that's nigh-impossible or it's wide open (see: most supers games), to agree on the parameters ahead of time.
>>47923316
Sometimes it's more a matter of attitude than the rules themselves. I've been in a few games where I've tried to treat combat as a last resort, fearing serious injury or death if it came to combat, then the game comes to combat... and we win easily... and because we won easily, it doesn't seem as intimidating or challenging the next time it comes to combat.
ITT: We discuss normie board games
What board game what your family probably own is the least terrible? Monopoly is crap, Risk is barely passable, I personally think Clue/Cluedo is one of the few half fun mainstream board games. And even then the board serves basically no purpose and if you ignore the 'must be in a room to suspect someone' rule then you could play cluedo with just the cards.
>>47923075
Scrabble.
>>47923075
Monopoly is actually pretty good if you follow the actual rules. The problem is that people are so used to playing with shitty house rules that are designed to keep anyone from ever being allowed to win.
If you play actual by the book monopoly it's a decent enough auction game that can be played in about 90 minutes.
>>47923075
I have very fond childhood memories of risk and clue, so I may be slightly biased, but I still play those games from time to time. Nice to be able to play a game where some strategy is involved and that doesn't take an hour to set up, and an hour to break down.
I just made a retarded, deaf, mute, half-orc barb with anger issues. He's a rapist, but my m8 is gonna kill him off the first time he forcably gets balls-deep in a bitch, so he's only good for one game.
Anyone have some other fun shit I could steal?
>>47922792
You are literally That Guy. Just letting you know, in case you haven't figured it out yet.
>>47922925
Only massive faggots take D&D seriously. The only reason I play it is because you can do whatever you want and I like to fuck around.
Well, you could try stealing a gun from a cop in a dark alleyway and get shot to death. That's one way to make Earth a slightly better place.
How do you make an original fantasy character, /tg/?
I've got writer's block up the ass. I just dunno how to go about doing it.
Writing general too I guess
>>47922365
You don't. Everything has been done before.
What you do is take some of those things that have been done before and combine them in a way that makes for interesting interactions.
Compelling is more important than original. Keep that in mind.

Same OP from the weird fucking spiders thread here. The same idiot bard wants to use the Grease spell and a surfboard to move faster than normal walking pace over long distances, and he wanted to know the most ground he can cover with one grease spell.
>>47922112
tell your bard he's retarded
He needs to look in the spell section because it tells him.
Might want to kick him from the group or restrict him to non spell casters.
>>47922155
alright I just read over the grease section in the SRD and it's exactly like you say. Strongly considering kicking him or telling him to quit being a tard in general.
So what would our plane's most dominate mana colors be? What about individual countries?
>>47921225
Almost every plane and every person is a combination of all colors. The same with nations.
This is going to turn into a /pol/ shitstorm otherwise.
Our plane is definitely white-heavy, given that most people on our planet crave ordered environments that act in the benefit of those involved. Whether the secondary color is red or blue depends on the culture of the nation you're focusing on. Switzerland would be blue, America red, Germany Blue, Brazil Red, et cetera. Whether Green or Black goes fourth/fifth depends on how optimistic (or pessimistic) you are. I'd say Green goes fourth, with Black coming last. We generally prefer life to death, and community mindedness to amoral selfishness.

Huh, I assumed OP was talking about geography.
In which case I was going to call him an idiot and say that we've got a pretty even mix of everything.
So, I'm working on a high fantasy/harry potter-esque campaign for my group and while doing a bit of world building it occurred to me, why the hell do wizards even do anything? Assuming high fantasy where magic is a do-all-fix-all kind of thing, why don't all (or at least the majority) of wizards just "retire"? Once they learn the skills to be self sustaining why bother with any kind of work at all? Sure, some may need to participate in society/politics/ect. in order to pursue personal interests, but for the majority, why not just settle down and live in comfort...

They do retire anon. They just sit in their tower working on hobbies and/or experiments as it pleases them.
>>47921065
Besides the option of making wizards generally socially/politically/ideologically-minded, even where self-sufficiency is easy there's always the constant chase for luxuries and status symbols. These will, of course, inevitably be things that cannot simply be conjured (or are easily identifiable as conjured).
Wizards living alone in towers is exactly that happening. Wizards as a part of society in a high magic setting simply can't work
Take two monsters and fuse them together.
What is the result?
Mimic and a rust monster.
It's a rust monster that suddenly grows a huge mouth and attempts to maul you.
>>47921145
alternatively, it's a chest that corrodes and eats the key, crowbar, or any other tool you attempt to use to open it.
>>47921052
How about an owl and a bear! That's crazy.
Hey, so I just started playing Dinners and Desserts and got myself in a bit of a tight spot.
You see, i'm currently running a well-done steak... with mint chip ice cream on top.
You see, i wanted to run a good steak build WITHOUT dealing with the "gross out" penalty you get when searved to squeemish npcs, so I figured that if I could figure out a way to keep it raw, but not bloody, I would be in the clear!
Long story short, there is a lot more to how "cooked" something is than just its tempature.
I now have a cold, minty,...

If you have the Ramadan pack, you could set it as fasting break course. You'll have to cut it into dices so it'll fit more with the other snacks, though. They say that hunger makes everything taste a bit better, I guess the devs took that to heart.

Take a few levels in gourmet, cut your portion size and consider the post modern deconstruction feat. There's a pretty broken combo where you can charge rich npcs for tiny portions of disgusting food just because it's unusual.

its another miniwargame that nobody plays. go figure
oh and everyone realized kevin siembieda is a douche
It's fucking abysmal.
The models are of questionable quality.
Here's the issue: Take your basic VF-1 valkyrie.
It has the gun pod, it's main weapon. Which does 6 damage.
It has missiles, that it can fire 4 of, for 3 turns in a row. Each missile does like, 8 damage. But can attack 4 targets, or all can hit one target.
Most units have like, 12 hit points or less.
End result?
Two fucking forces fly at each other, firing all their missiles immediately.
Both sides lose half their guys instantly as they're obliterated by scattering...

holy shit thats terrible. it cracks me up at how bad that sounds
anyway the only thing ive seen really done with it is a battle report on the youtube channel guerilla miniatures games. In it Ash uses the minis to demonstrate the horizon wars game system. He backed it and never did a game demo video on his chanel where he demos lots of different games. To show off his palladium minis he uses a different game. That's pretty sad, for the game i mean. Ash is a cool guy.
