Do you read whole pdfs in front of your screen? I suck at it, my eyes hurt and is just not the same as reading in my bed.
Any tips for it?
Also is hard to DM with a virtual manual? And not the physical corebook

I read on my laptop in bed a lot, lay it on my belly. I just don't get eye strain. I never have.
virtual manuals are the shit, especially hyperlinked ones with search functions. I had everything in 3rd ed (3.0) memorized, but haven't played much D&D since then.
>>47937277
My screens are never somewhere between 3 and 5 feet away, which seems to help me. (The 3 foot one pushed back to the far end of my kitchen table. The 5 foot one to the left of my bed, about as far down as my ankles. Well, that's the big screen. My laptop, itself, provides the other screen and it's more like knee-distant, but it's secondary. Anything I'm really focused on is going to be on my big monitor.)
If you were talking about novels, I'd say to get a reader with e-ink, because that reads pretty much like a book, but a Paperwhite (or whatever) sucks for PDFs.
It's such a lame fad. Even Midnight Gond is about as good.

Has anyone tried Moldgraf Scavenger in Tortured Existence? It seems like it would be easy to fit and activate its delirium.
>>47939664
I am using it now. It works nicely as an early gamr blocker and then beatdown once you get Delirium. Competes for a slot with Werebear, but I find the Scavenger more helpful before it is turned on.
>>47937206
But... it's as good as or better than Cloud of Faeries in Familiar. It's good enough that you don't even need to play familiars anymore. Look at the UR version and the UG version for reference. It's not a fad, it's an archetype that hasn't been completely solved yet - it's here for good.
Technically they are controlled by imperial psykers
The Legion of the Damned are controlled by nobody but the Emperor.

This.
I also wouldn't count them as Space Marines at this point.
They may or may not have started out as such but they are not now if they ever were.
>>47939800
they're marines, they just have a weird version of Nurgle's rot
Quick /tg/, my GM made the mistake of allowing technological weapons in our pathfinder game, what's the most hilarious build I can make focused on the chainsaw?

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this thread so it can be the first thing I see on here tonight.

Hmm which would be sillier... dual chainsaws or a massive chaingreatsword
Is there any way to make a medieval character who uses a sharp weapon without being edgy?
Use a spear with a conical head.
Sharp, but no edge.
How many edge masters you ever see use a halberd? Zero.

Is there any way you could be OP without shitposting?
Just your reminder that forge world is in Pound Sterling, which is currently plummiting down to pre 1985 levels, so forge world products are going to be temporarily cheaper for until London stops burning
GBP just dropped one cent literally right now as I refreshed. How far will it go? That would have cost me THREE WHOLE DOLLARS if I had made my purchase a few seconds ago!

Just wait until the German, Belgium, and American stock trading markets open, then it's really gonna go to shit, buy your warlord now, and they say GW never has discounts

Fuck. Nevermind.
Now that a pound is worth less than its paper, I was looking to buy something cool from Forgeworld. I really like the design of solar auxilia, but I'm not sure I want to start a 30k army. Other than this, I've heard that FW uses a strange resin that's really easy to brake, is that true ?
Forgeworld general, I guess
> I've heard that FW uses a strange resin that's really easy to brake, is that true ?
Fucking retarded recastfags spreading their lies.
Got plenty of Forge World models and have never suffered a breakage.
I don't think it's more brittle than any other resin models.
>>47936086
Resin casting is an art unless the process is completely automated and climate controlled. Forgeworld does not spend the money for automation nor climate controls.
Sometimes you will get brittle resin. Sometimes you will get swiss cheese resin. Sometimes you will get warped resin. Rarely will you get perfect resin. It all comes down to the one who is doing the cast for your particular order. I have never bothered to raise these issues with FW when I've received them, but I hear the customer support is...

Full BAB Strength martials are the best characters to play in the vast majority of 3.X/PF games online. Don't believe me? Check this out.
The vast majority of online 3.X/PF games start at level 1, because the GM insists on it out of tradition, or because the GM is running an adventure that starts at level 1.
The vast majority of online 3.X/PF games will fall apart before gaining a level. You might gain a SINGLE level, but beyond that, hah.
The vast majority of online 3.X/PF games are combat-focused, because combat is what those games do best, and combat...

>The vast majority
So basically assumptions on your part, based on the one or two communities you play in. Because I could just as easily come back and say the vast majority of games I play in start anywhere between level 6 and 15. Nobody wants to start at level 1. Level 1 is garbage that gives you no room to really customize your character.
>>47934635
Unfortunately, if you sign up to play a martial at all you'tr doomed to the "I full attack because there's literally nothing I can do that's better at any given time" life in combat, you probably have a piddling amount of skill points, and there's an even lower chance you have a neat non-combat-optimal feat. At least with, say, an INT-based caster or a 2/3rds BAB you can actually do things other than cast fist. And if the game DOES somehow survive, hey, your gamble paid off.
Of...

Or, instead of that, play a Druid, since then you have spells to end fights, good health, decent armor, decent combat ability, and a free Fighter as a class feature.
Are there any systems where the players take the part of a crew controlling some kind of machine? Like the crew of a tank or a submarine or a spaceship?
I'm wondering because I'd like to do something like that, but I'm not sure how to do it.
I played a fucking SICK D&D 3.5 campaign based off whatever that ship based splatbook was (stormwind? IDK). It should be pretty easy to adapt something like that to a future setting.
We were mostly traders and privateers, most of the campaign was vehicular to vehicular combat with our characters fighting on top of the ships. Our downtime was maintaining the ship, trading from port to port, buying upgrades, and funding and helping the giant war we were helping to fight for our country.
We had to make some house rules to make it functional (fire spells got...

Spelljammer.
I'm an avid player of the table-top, and recently I have been playing alot of Fallout 4 so my mind has gotten to where it wants to blend them together. So I have this Idea for a campaign. I was thinking of a place that would have been a shit hole before the war happen and I chose California, Thought this would be a good place to make the Raiders hold some true power in a region.
So after the war powerful Raiders now hold large chunks of land in California each ran by their own Raider Lord, and as raiders they via for control over turf constantly with what ever means that may be unique to that group.
So my question is, what kind of Raider groups/Bosses would you be interested in seeing in a campaign like this?
I feel like there is a good story hidden deep in this idea but Im unsure how to bring it out.
>>47934398
Hate to rain on your parade, but in Fallout canon, California is mostly under control of the New California Republic, with the only real exceptions being a few military bases and bunkers the Brotherhood of Steel controls. This isn't just something made up for Fallout New Vegas, it's been canon since Fallout 1 and 2.
>>47934634
That is something I did not know about, but makes since not that you say it. What about New mexico or texas? Or any similar state that may be a good place to choose.
>>47935110
Texas would probably be your best bet.
I think New Mexico is also partly under the control of the NCR.
Can you tell if someone is going to be a bad DM just by looking at him?
Probably not.
>>47936094
Sometimes.
>>47936094
Yes, if the guy or girl looks well-adjusted and going somewhere with their life you can expect at least a solid adventure with characters that make sense.
Nothing good ever came of a man wearing a Sonic costume to the table.
