> Transcending history and the world, a tale of souls and swords, eternally retold.
Welcome to Soul Calibur Quest!
The world went mad when the dreaded Captain Cervantes was defeated, and the Evil Seed was released upon the world. Now, Malfested seem to be attacking more and more helpless villagers, good people have been driven mad by the power of an evil sword, and the Azure Knight, Nightmare seems to grow stronger and stronger every day. Warriors from all across the land are searching for the cursed sword, Soul Edge, some seeking...

A clash of steel, a bleeding, broken warrior, and a sword with a staring, burning eye. Your sleep is plagued with nightmares, and you wake up with a start. Looking out your window, you can see the sun hasn’t risen yet, although it likely will soon. You let out a sigh and get up, getting dressed quickly. You dislike spending too much time idle, but it seems well deserved at this point. After your conversation with Hilde last night, you went straight to bed, although the sleep wasn’t nearly as restful as you’d...

Anyone have advice for finding reference images for Changelings that wouldn't be considered Furbait? (Before you say "don't make furbait" There are too many animal - based modifications not to make it a problem)

what's with the goddamn chicken?
So I'm working on building up a Renegades & Heretics list from the Vraks book using the Purge detachment with the Ordnance Tyrant. That lets me use artillery for Elites and Troops slots as well as Heavy slots. With 8 troop slots and 4 elites slots, that should give me enough room to fit a ton of artillery in. What else should I look at getting for these guys? I keep hearing good things about rapier laser batteries. Are they as good as people say? Cheap ordnance at BS2 or 3 if I upgrade them. Should I stuff most of my heavy slots with those?

New Ork codex when?
I've been hearing about Frostgrave recently and I'm wondering what /tg/ thinks of it.
A friend has been insisting that you can play in accordance with the rules even if you're using miniatures from a different line. Is this true, or an asspull?
>>43578020
Its true, you can use whatever miniatures you want, a lot of people were posting warbands made from minis they had from their Warhammer collections, some from old DnD stuff, and yet others using stuff from Malifaux and stuff. Some people even suggested using sci-fi or pulp figures in a thread on Lead-Adventure.
I think its a fun game, but for some reason it didn't become that popular. I personally think it was a lack of background on the city and a general lack of anything other than basic rules for...

You can play with other miniature lines. The rulebook even says you can.
>>43578556
Is there a PDF floating around of the rules? I'd like to look them up and figure out if it's for me.
Hi /tg/. A question: What sort of man-portable(ish) weapons could bring down a 40k raider? 1.5km in length and with a displacement of about 5 megatons or there abouts.
Tanks, las cannons, bombs, etc? And where would they need to strike to get the ship to crash onto a planet?
Pic sort of related - Destroyers are the next class ship up in size from raiders.

From the outside? You're fucked.
From the inside, sabotage is your best bet. Demo charges or melta bombs (hell, even a few well-placed krak grenades in the generatorium or warp engines) ca. absolutely ruin it's shit.
Mechanically, Rogue Trader flat-out says that the damage man-portable weapons do to starships is so negligible as to be nonexistent.

Milled metal dice.
You can get d6s, but others are impossible. Sintered is available, but milled is casino precision.

Artisandice.com cheaper versions of anything on this site. Affordable mammoth-bone d20 anyone?
You have sixty seconds to justify why a society with access to FTL starships, energy-based handguns, and all the standard sci-fi insanity would have individual people who sometimes use swords without resorting to Dune personal shields or Star Wars psychic powers. Keep in mind that it must be a rarity to see dudes with swords instead of guns.
Because they're cool.
Two people in good social standing may have a duel over serious disputes.
>>43577614
Maybe because using blades inside a ship (especially while traveling through space) or advanced installation is less hazardous than using ranged or kinetic energy weapons. A stray shot might hit something sensitive. Dunno.

Why did they even release this shit? If conversion is impossible say "conversions are impossible" not this bullshit.

>Where do you get puzzles/ideas for puzzles that you can incorporate into your adventures?
Books, movies / comics, reddit, actual /5eg/ threads, and google ("best D&D puzzles" etc) in that order.
Assuming it was economically feasible, how long would it take to terraform an earth-like planet? Just to adjust the atmosphere to have enough oxygen and to make sure the oceans aren't poison.
>>43577228
How long it would take depends on what shape it's in and what technology makes it economically feasible.
Because if you're talking about finding an anoxic ancient earth like planet and superseding the primitive life on it in order to oxygenate it's atmosphere, it'd depend mostly in the level of dissolved iron, but could probably be accomplished in under a million years if started intentionally.
>>43577228
Depends of how it was before the process started.
Lava world? yeah it might take a centuries.
Desert world would take a few decades.
Depends also of available outside materials, like a comet, if you can divert it to enter atmosphere and burn some of it's ice to kickstart the rain process or whatever.
It would probably be easier genetically engineering humans to suite the climate of the new world.

Yeah yeah, I know. But hey, it's only for a few thousand bucks and it aint like you have to buy into it or anything, I just think it's a neat little possibility, to sorta show the aspects of the hobby you don't see much (he interviews sculptors etc) and it could be informative. Mite b cool.

>>43577142
not gonna touch it, because i know they are going to leave out the biggest player in miniature wargaming, which is GW. the reason is most likely because they reached out to GW and they refused to participate, for obvious reasons a big corporation would want to refuse cooperation
so the whole thing will just be a big wankfest over the companies (which half of them are too recent to be part of 'wargaming history') who donated to the project.
TLDR: it will just be a big commercial
