Where the fuck do I start when it comes to unique astronomy and the logic or science behind it? Planes, flat planets, dyson spheres, living on the back of a giant turtle hurdling through the cosmos and all sorts of other junk. Are there any references or history behind examples of these types of worlds?
It's so hard trying to just find a starting point.

What are you even asking? If you're looking for hypothesis on how it would play out then refer back to the novels of the authors you're referencing, Pratchett, Niven ect.
>>43931514
Read classic mythologies. Egyptian, Greek, Mayan, Norse, etc. They've all got some weird neat shit in them to take inspiration from.
Have some sort of consistent forms/magic/numina thing to connect otherwise impossible ideas, and you're set.
Maybe a sketch pad for doodling maps. You can look at old cartography. Its neat.

I'm looking for any steps used in the process of constructing an expanded world, really. Does the solar system come first? Or the geography of the world the campaign will take place on? It's hard for me to work on something new without a reference point.
Have you ever seen a headline or a short article description that sounded just like a campaign prompt? Example, I just happened across this (pic related):
> This town could be yours for $250,000
> Swett, S.D., includes 6 acres of prairie, a garage/tire shop, one home, and the local bar.
> 'A good place to get killed'
... curtsy of a random yahoo tab. Honestly I find myself uncertain whether I'd rather run that or play it, but either way it sounds like...

It just keeps getting better:
> 'its only home allegedly haunted'
> a man passing through commented that “you need a Bowie knife to get in this place and a chainsaw to get out.”
> The bank even installed new signs for the town. “The old ones had bullet holes in them,”

In a faraway land, more far-flung in credibility than in kilometers, there was a secluded forest.
And in that forest, in the cozy, smoky shade, dwelt a peculiar people known as the Lanternfolk.
They were a gladsome bunch and rather jaunty too, as one might expect. But times were changing...

Vault-Tec requires another design for their new vault.
Last vault we had liberty primes being produced in groups of six and a literal mary sue as the overseer.
All posts ending in 7 are truths about the vault, if the post ends in dubs/trips as well the post cannot be vetoed.
Rerolls are not allowed for this vault design.

We quit halfway through the second session.
Ain't got a chance to play any game because of poor social skills, but that DBZ game with a poor choice in system (the power levels in the first book alone broke the Fuzion system) definitely ain't one I'm playing.
Now, as for that pic, the fluff may be salvageable, but that fantasy heartbreaker glued awkwardly on is something else.....

Hey /tg/, sorry to bother but I'm a real rookie with 5e and more than that a complete newbie to bards. My buddies are planning a pirate themed campaign but I don't yet know what to play. I'd like to fill the role of caster for our group and heard bard was an op class for "just about everything"
tl:dr In 5e, what's tbe most broken magic user build possible by level 5-10?
Why don't you play what you want instead of trying to break the system like its a video game?

Because I don't know what I want to play I guess. Fair enough though, I probably wouldn't have much fun if I'm not attached to the character, I just figured I'd get into it if I knew I was packing serious heat going into the campaign. I'll spend some more time trying to figure things out on my own, just kinda outta character concepts this time around..
How big can we make an air craft carrier? Pretend the nature if war has changed such that theyre no longer obsolete and the ability to ship soldiers en masse is one of the prime functions alongside air domination.
Could it be large enough to house a million soldiers? Would it still fit through the panama locks?
If you could subtly indoctrinate your soldiers by inserting memories, what would be the ideal soldier construct?
Pic unrelated, not much choice on my phone

>Could it be large enough to house a million soldiers?
If you made it super tanker sized or greater, yeah, sure. Be a fucking logistical nightmare, but if you had the economic base to support something like that then it would be well within our technical skills to build.

Hi,
I finally decided to start with miniature wargaming and bought myself a demi company space marines, a bike scout squat, a librarian, the Space Marines rulebook and some tools. It might have been expensive.
But now I am unsure what army to take. I planed to get Ultramarines, but recently I saw a bit about Black Templars and I like the concept of Teutonic crusaders in space. But I dislike that they can't have librarians on their own.
Is there some way around it? I think I could ally with a formation of Ultramarine Librarians, but I think that wouldn't be...

Is that eaven a question?

You ally with detachments, not necessarily formations. So your BTa could have an allied non-BT detachment that includes a psyker.
A formation is like a special set; you get a special bonus for bringing the set.
Get a copy of the core rulebook, even just as a pdf, and it should explain things. Also take a look at the 1d4chan wiki page about Space Marine tactics; there's some coverage about ally choices there.

Itsasne looks intently into your eyes, her skin flushed and heart racing as she asks you to be her first spawning partner. She is no doubt beautiful but something, perhaps the connection with the other women or perhaps the children Nura and Sera are weighing on your mind. Whatever the case is you gently turn the mermaid ambassador down, disappointment and shame flash across her face for a brief moment before she returns to babbling on about everything and checking on the chocolate’s regeneration progress.
Itsasne is happy for your company as you manipulate a sphere of water back through the outpost to the submersible dock to return her to her guards, she tells you that she’ll never forget you and all the interesting dry land things that you’ve shown her. As she sinks back into the ocean of hell you can see her instinctual spawning desire that you’ve ignited in her boil to the surface again and she propositions her guards.
They are all very uncomfortable with this situation since the whole point of this meeting was to get Itsasne together with you, but their resistance doesn’t last long and soon enough you have an underwater orgy on your hands. Feeling every action taken underwater is very frustrating – Hestia interrupts that chain of thoughts by beaming an intense sense of possessive pride towards you, you get a similar sense from Nana, Ayla seems disappointed because she wanted a fish friend, the giant lizard and Izulu wonder why you would give up tasty food, Aurora and Tslah are content with your desires, and Evangeline; it feels like a dam of tension has broken, she is very relieved that you did pick up a new women especially without talking to your -girlfriend- first.

it's a naming convention, there is no harm in it.
Hey /tg/ how would you feel if Wargames (and maybe also RPGs) got updated pretty regularly (like every 1-2 months) with statlines or points or rules being slightly/dramatically changed much like various video games? in comparison to the usual "changes only every 2-6 years"
>>43928808
Bump it up to 4-5 months and you've got a deal.
>>43928832
well it doenst have to be an earth shaking 20 page update every month. it could be like 1 or 2 slight tweaks if something weird pops up
Outside of errata or fixing serious oversights I don't think rpgs need it, but I'd be totally on board for that sort of constant tweaking for a wargame.
Warmahordes could rock this fairly easy if they worked on making Warroom less buggy.

With almost four days without food or water, Walks-many-cubs had finally succumbed to her primal needs. She was tied up by Cain and Janus while she was passed out.
