Thanks bro
Do more of these exist?
Assuming your BBEG gets seriously messed up somehow, what is their contingency plan? Do they have a fallback base, or maybe another body they can use? Are they immortal and only need time for something to wear off?
Pic related.
>>43977732
I bet he lost on purpose, just to get that body.
Maybe that was his plan all along.
>>43977732
He Planewalks the fuck outta there

Boobs are nice and all, but I don't like those... they are too big in comparison to her body in my humble opinion.
ITT: Character Flaws to make characters more interesting.
The character attempts to connect every event in the story to some imaginary conspiracy/prejudice that they came up with before the game even started.
The last character I played was born to parents who were retainers for the local provincial lord, and one of the few nobles to NOT be a complete asshole... in fact, the character and her parents were treated quite well. Despite being glorified servants, they lived better than most of the population, and the lord even paid for the character's magic tutoring once she showed potential for it.
As a result, this character was extremely biased towards nobility in general, always trusting them or taking their side, even when they didn't have the best interests of the...

He is a bit of an airhead and has a relatively short temper.
Vain airheads, putty in the hands of anyone who can pay a decent compliment or a seductive smile.
Suicidal devotion to the notions of honour, proper warfare, 'Dulce Et Decorum Est...'
Kleptomaniacs. Regardless of their actual nature, people who compulsively steal are likely to get into trouble.
Sufferers of paranoid delusions.
Epistemophiles; the classic 'knowledge over morality' scientist/arcanist, or those obsessed with fields of knowledge that likely lead to ethical dilemmas, corruption or madness.
Hey /tg/, just found a little tool you might find useful for a shadowrun/rogue trader/any sort of game that involves anything that would have a slogan game.
And of course, it's good for laughs too. I put in Tribadism first. I was very entertained. I am exactly that mature.
https://www.shopify.com/tools/slogan-maker
A couple of highlights
"My Anti-Drug is Cocaine"
"Behold the power of Tribadism"
"Nonstop Tribadism"
"Whatever you're into, get into Tribadism"
"Trabadism. It builds smiles"
"There ain't no party like a Cocaine Party"
"Hand built by Black People"
"Black people for everyone"
"Blindness: Quality you can see"
Also, one was "The age of blindness", which actually does sound like something out of a mystical fantasy novel.

How do you come up with names for your characters?
I think of what they're good at and name them after their talent.
I look through the credits of something random for cool sounding names.
>>43977526
I start by choosing a letter.
Then I pick random sounds like "ho" "duul" and string them together until they sound good. For instance, I just smashed these two sounds together to make "Hoduul." Just sound it out.

I hope /tg/ is interested in a storytime.
I'm gonna post recaps from the nWoD game I'm running, which is a medley of templates and set in Transylvania County, North Carolina. The story revolves around the sheriff's department, which is made up entirely of supernaturals.
>>43977117
Does it end with you scum all being killed?
>>43977117
So before anything, I'll introduce the group.
>Mihai
A Ravnos (using the translation guide) vampire, and a bit of a crooked cop. He is vice squad, and has seedy connections. Romanian, mysterious, and kind of a dick.
>Nikolai Volonov
A weremoose eco-terrorist pretending to be lumberjack turned beat cop as he turned away from environmental crime, and recruited to the sheriff's department for his dedication.

As a local, I wait with anticipation.
So, do you play, /tg?
I never played HeroClix, but I did play MageKnights, I guess both similar as HeroClix was based off of them.
I've been interested in the idea of them but never found people to play it.
>>43976997
Yes, trying to think up a 300 point modern team for tomorrow, in fact.
>>43977047
It's SUPER fun. Used to play back in high school when the game came out and died out about a year in. Recently came back and it's a blast.
If you're curious about it, check out the subreddit. One thing about the clix community is that everyone is super nice and willing to help new players.
What were their classes, according to any of the D&D core books?
>Gandalf
>Aragorn
>Boromir
>Legolas
>Gimli
>Merry
>Pippin
>Sam
>Frodo
And, just for fun,Gollum
>>43976532
Aragorn and Boromirs were different flavors of Fighter.
Merry's a PC using a Commoner NPC template with 1 level in Fighter and many ranks in Stealth. The DM gives him a Luck Dice pool to make up for the gimped template.
The only one I'm sure of us that Gandalf was a rogue.
all of them were bards

Hey, Babylon, question: given that you don't have an Astropath or a Navigator, and the world you end up on doesn't seem to have a population before you get there, how does the stuff in the DLCs involving going off-world work? Where do the Litany, the Lapsed and the Retaliation come from, along with all the Techpriests and such?

What sort of things would you need to entertain a chaos tourist group? Something for each chaos god followers.
>>43976305
A bunch of diseased hookers, an axe and a guide to making treasure hunts?
Hey, if an enchanted weapon is broken in half, does the enchantment still work?
>>43976008
...Depends on the setting.
>>43976008
I'd say yes but you're using a shitty broken weapon. Inless you're going for something like broken giant sword as a great sword cause I think that'd be pretty cool.
>>43976032
Wow gee whiz, thanks for that incredibly unhelpful non-answer!
Would Lovecraftians monsters whose morality is beyond our ken be "unaligned", in D&D terms having no alignment? Can things exist outside the alignment system in D&D?
>>43975991
Far Realms monsters are pretty universally Chaotic or Chaotic Evil.
>>43975991
It depends, really. A case could be made that they're Lawful - after all, the point of Lovecraftian horror is that the TRUE nature of reality is just horrific to our sensibilities. They embody law, it's just law we don't like.
>>43975991
Everything should be beyond the alignment system.
Also, Rule Zero. GM's word is law

When was your character the happiest it has ever been and why?
What are popular foods among Ultimates?
I'm creating a map for a lab. This lab is a sort of SCP/STALKER style place where weird and terrible things were experimented with and explored.
My question: if you were doing research on this sort of shit, what kind of facilities and stuff would you want to have? I want the lab to be set up and equipped as realistically as possible.
>>43975935
Here's what I've got from other people:
clean rooms
Suicide tooth-capsules
sealed-off room that one can interact with remotely through robotic arms
sensors. light all em spectrum sensors sound, motion, particle, etc.
a standardized sets of each stable element, and each of the main molecules necessary for life.
applicators to apply a variety of effects/ substances to said artifact (i.e water, fire, cold [via ice or liquid nitrogen or the like],
organic matter
samples of living creatures, from single celled up to mice and stuff.
multiple humans nearby viewing events and taking notes, for comparative purposes
a hammer, a maul, an axe.
pipe cleaners, in bulk
duct tape, in bulk
a vacuum room
cold room
water submerged room
thermal testing room
dark room
bright room
loud room
quiet room
several data storage rooms at varying distances. redundancy is key. Unless they become self aware and attempt to take over the lab. Damned artificial intelligences.
