Is there a fantasy world set roughly at an equivalent epoch as the World War 1 in Europe?
And if there isn't, would /tg/ like to create one?
We should start little by little
>>44094003
I am writing a book with this sort of premise.
Most of it takes place in the Not! Holy Roman Empire.
Cool part is, WW1 had a lot of crazy tech alongside more traditional equipment.
Like early tankers with chainmail meshes and half-plate.
I would suggest focusing on geopolitics, as the tangled mess of aggrements and alliances is what started the war.
Prussia is awesome, especially in a fantasy setting, include Not! Prussia.
If you want dogfights, The Luftwafte considered themselves knights,...

Panzerfauste is a fantasy mash-up of WWI & WWII.

Napoleon called, he wants his Peace of Pressburg back.
The great debate.
d100. Necessity, or luxury?
Should dice sets come with 2d10s or just 1?
Only the great questions on /tg/why thursdays.
>>44093974
Necessity? Given the prevalence of d100 systems?
>>44093974
Sets should come with 2d10s with one giving tens place digits and the other giving ones place digits because using the fucking golf ball of a d100 is simply impractical.
Additionally percentile systems are okay and a lack of way to roll d100 would be bad.
>>44093974
My flaming autism cannot stand d100 sets like these, the zeroes are off-putting.
I prefer to use just two regular d10s, one white, one another color, the colored one comes first.

Try falling down. If you wake up, then it isn't real.
Seriously though, good on you for having fun.

Welcome to online campaigns, where 80% of them are DMs fishing for easy lore and NPCs for their setting.
>>44093921
So you said you only have two players, right?
So uhh... Are you still looking for more?
Did the world eaters resent Angron for the whole nails thing? Some of them seemed to openly hate him.
>>44093869
Was kind of a dick move, but angron was a cunt, like most primarchs.
Except for vulkan.
Vulkan is based.
>>44095484
Yeah most seem to take after their father. Vulkan takes after his adopted father.
>>44095484
Yep, Vulkan was the only bro one, along with Sanguinius and maybe Ferrus I guess.
Though it implies that maybe Corvax and the Lion could have been bros if not for crippling autism and social anxiety.
This card.
You know what it is.
How do we win in Modern with it?
>>44093794
>No Haste
You don't apparently
>>44093862
Just because Anger isn't legal doesn't mean this card is bad in the Modern environment.

reddit.com is that way.
Need purchasing decision help.
I can get P3 boxes of army colors for a hair under 10$, or I can get an Army Painter Starter set. Not for the same price, but just my two optimal choices.
Learning to paint with generic kings of war miniatures on the cheap, and my bones kickstarters are sitting around waiting for me to GITGUD
Can you guys help me pick an optimal range of colors with minimal redundancy (or at least no duplicates), using three or four army colors boxes of p3? Or should I just get the Army Painter set?
>>44093783
Army painter starter
>>44093812
The 10$ boxes of P3 is super fucking cheap per pot though. Almost twice as much for the money than the Army Painter starter. Already have brushes.
>>44093916
I use p3 and i like them. not good for drybrushing but yes for wet blending. have good coverage
hey /tg/, which makes for a more interesting backstory: a character never knowing their parents, losing them at a young age, or losing them recently?
>>44093458
parents still alive so GM has another channel to fuck with you
None of the above.
>>44093458
if you never knew your parents, the DM can work out some big reveal, for the best or worst. but it's a pretty played trope...
What are some good ways of kicking off a game and having the party meet up with one another?
starting a new game with a party of 4 and not sure if they will all know each other in game or be banded together by the quest giver.
start the game in a tavern, hear the town cryer yell about a quest, be part of a guild and sent to do shit.
ALSO would love ideas for a BBEG
rules for being the badguy

We made it to autosage, its a christmas miracle!
Did all the black friday stuff come in the mail? Any new purchases planned?
Are you the latest statistic to the multifaction drug?
Discuss ways to make desperate mercs not suck!
Any idea where to point a newcomer? Don't know a damn thing about the game but the aesthetics are drawing me in. I've played 40k and WarmaHordes before, is there any comparison to those? I've looked at some of the factions and the Neverborn, Resurrectionists, and some of the Arcanists interest me (in particular Rasputina since she's all about ice shit).
I've checked out the Pull My Finger wiki, and while it has some good stuff about the factions, doesn't seem to lay out how the game plays or introduce it's core workings.

My BF order has arrived and is prepped for assembly, probably tomorrow night.
I can't believe I am saying this, but I wish alt fire starter had come in more pieces. Cleaning the main body of mold lines was a harrowing experience due to the narrow connections between the flames and the flames throwers.
>>44092964
The is a Shieldbreakers Malifaux 101 series on YouTube that does a good job of running through the features of the game. Production quality is crap and they are definitely not comfortable in front of a camera, but the information there is solid.

Question is, is gamification a work of the Unity or the Raptor?
>>44091794
It's gotta be the Unity. Gamification is a known educational tactic.
End of the day nothing, it hasn't even been a half hour and they're 80% funded.
If a Rust Monster shows up, is that the DM admitting that he fucked up when you got your gear?

Perhaps it means that you need to run away.
>>44090726
Stainless steel can still rust. It is just more resistant to it.

>>44083652
Can't be any worse than his old GF. This one might actually be fun to have around.
>>44083652
>>44083652
This has surprisingly never gone poorly for me.
Apparently this is going to be a flop, but it still makes me want to play an RPG focused around whaling. Or just being on a ship in general I guess, but hopefully whaling. Are there any systems that can make a good game of this? The setting doesn't seem to be able to carry the same feel as most RPGs.
>>44080818
>this is going to flop
Isn't that the Moby Dick movie? You're going to see it and fucking like it, this is the movie of The Great American Novel. Ergo, it will be the Great American Film.
>>44081553
Reviews are saying it's just kind of boring and predictable, but I hope to like it. Moby Dick is amazing. Makes me want to whale in an RPG
>>44081553
No, it's the 'real' incident that inspired Moby Dick. Take that as you will, I take it to mean it won't be anywhere near as good.
Eternal thread edition.
http://pastebin.com/V9c2a6wU
What game needs a new edition/reprint the most?
>>44066933
If I wasn't so satisfied with Rex, I might say Dune.
Twilight Imperium could use a new edition, there's an incredible core there, but these days we're using more and more houserules to fix all its little problems. FFG has gotten a lot better at designing and testing since 2005.
Starcraft would be a popular choice.
>>44067085
I agree with TI3, it could definitely use a new edition since there is no real replacement game for it. Starcraft would be nice but since Forbidden Stars is a thing I doubt it will happen.
Of these games, from your point of view, which would be more worth it to buy?
>Panamax
>Roll for the Galaxy
>Kingsburg
>Trajan
