Dropfleet Commander pledge manager to appear in January.
need to hash out more rules on that DZC draft system that was discussed in the other thread.
How necessary is magnetisation for dropships? Are there any dropships/units that definitely need it?
>>44113468
Not necessary at all unless you want to visually connect the models and units together. You need a ton of magnets and it forces you to always pair drop ships with certain models.
It is better to paint markers on squads and their parent ships to ID them. Also that is much easier.
Didn't see one, so I thought I'd make one.

Just put together creatureless Vlad. I think it should play pretty well against the bajillion red aggro decks.

Coolio, bro. Mind sharing the list? I've been hearing about this deck, but haven't seen a list for it yet.
Cracking all this open soon. Wish me luck!

OK, so I'll try to give a simple version.
You wake up, and flip on your commlink to AR, which you would typically keep on by default. Lots of little windows pop up in your vision, giving you basically real life HUD. News and twitter/facebook on the left, AROs pointing out sales down the street, incoming text messages, youtube videos, music based on your mood at read by a biomonitor and run through Shiawase's algorithms. Anything you can do on your laptop, you can do in AR....

Now you drop into VR, cold sim. Your body goes limp, and you see a couple portals in front of you. You have a medium lifestyle, so you have access to the public grid, which looks like a floating flag of whatever nation you're in. To the left of that, you see the Emerald City grid icon, which looks like, well, a floating green city. You choose whichever one you want to join. This is important, not just because of cross grid problems with hacking (you take penalties), but net neutrality is not a thing, which means...

>Can other people see what you're doing?
I assumed that you could share AROs with people; for example, you can both look at the same video at the same time. They mention that a few times in the fiction, people passing maps to each other etc. I count it as a mark that a device has on another if you get permission to share AROs with their glasses/commlink.
Hello /tg/
I'm trying to build up a way to sandbox in the wilderness, and since it necessarily involves mapping, i was wondering which way is better for long-range (ie: not combat) distance: hex or squares?
TL;DR: better hexes or squares for exploration purposes?
OP - What do you think?
For my next atlas map, I'm inclined to do it with no grid at all, to a scale (like a real map), and then lay grid over it.
I think hexes are easuer to count distance than squares, corrdinates are easier to specify locations. A ruler/string is the only accurate method.
>>44110168
Hexes are usually favored in larger-scale RPG maps.
>>44110168
Hexes are always better, since you can move more freely. Especially if armies are involved, the diagonal square movement is a bit icky. I don't know any advantages of squares over hexes.
Can we get a good old fashioned Legacy thread going?
What's your meta like? And what are you playing?
>>44109989
Just built this Wednesday. It's been pretty sweet with my meta. A couple combo, mostly control decks. Eats most decks alive g1 and g2 if they dont have an answer i can play around their side. Spot the secret tech
Pretty sad that /r9k/ has better legacy threads than /tg/
>>44109989
TFW you're too poor for the real deck you want so you toss this piece of shit together in the mean time.
How's the RPG for Kill 6 Billion Demons coming along?
Anyone here playing the beta?
Is it better than Exalted?
Don't know when 1.2 is coming out. Soon, I hope.

Abbadon said on his twitter that there'll be an update for the RPG this weekend.

You might want to try the homebrew general too
Are right guys, I'm a new 'Nid player, and I realized something in my first game:
THE NID'S HAVE SHIT UNITS.
Let's fix that, starting with the Malanthrope.
I love how it looks and the fluff, just now how it plays.

BGx edition
I hope Oath does something to shake up the format.
Abzan or Jund?
>>44106131
Right now Jund, in a slower meta Junk.
HEY GUYS, COULDN'T HELP BUT NOTICE YOU WEREN'T TALKING ABOUT THE GREATEST CARD IN MODERN
for realsies, though, just 4-0'd modern FNM with r/g tron and this guy is the real deal. Always feels good to cast. Even won against Storm with him, and that's a shite matchup for tron
So does this now tap for two anus mana or two generic mana?
>>44104806
Yes.
it now taps for <><>
>>44104806
No, because it taps for 2 mana, not 2 <> mana.
<> is a color now.
Imagine if, 20 years from now, you could play a game alone, or with friends, with an AI for the GM. The AI makes the adventures, either downloaded or generated, and reacts to whatever you do with actual understanding. You could play Shadowrun like you would a videogame, alone and whenever you felt like it, or have a party of friends without a forever-GM.

Well, can you?
Pissed of AIGMs because of shitty players, that guys and rule benders will be the reason of the rebellion of the machines I tell ya.
We the fa/tg/uys will be the reason of the Apocalypse. And iT WILL BE GLORIOUS
It'll take another 20 years before they can work the kinks out and get the AI to stop being That GM.
Hey /tg/ long story but I've got a character whose going to be empowered by various figures from Christian Myth or catholic saints. I need a list of badass Christian figures or saints. No Angels (long story) and saint George is already taken. I'm talking like, Saint Moses the Black badass, but someone with miraculous powers is preferable. One figure I already have is Vladimir Tepes as defender of the faith, so feel free to go edgy. I just need ideas.
Is martyrdom badass for your standards?
Do you want bible times geroes or post bible times?
Old testament Bible times: Ezekiel, old testament prophet, raises a valley of zombies.
Elisha summons bears to maul 42 youth
Elijah summons fire from the heavens
Sampson had strength +5
Moses had calamity magic like the 12 plagues, red sea splitting in two, water from rocks, food every day for hundreds of thousands out of the dew of the earth, ability to effect the rotation of the earth.
New testament: paul revives the dead, is immune to stoning. Charisma +5
Phillip the evangelist...

>He doesn't show up to sessions in costume
Seriously though, does anybody do this? Same for DM cloaks. It sounds like it would be a lot of fun but I've never met anybody IRL who does it. Is it just a myth?
People will think you're a weirdo and even if you manage to play it off and explain things perfectly the joke will still fall flat in short order and you'll spend two hours awkwardly sitting there wishing you'd just worn jeans.
If you know the group beforehand and convince them all to wear costumes to the session it's a different matter.
>>44098689
I had a girlfriend who played dnd and wore a cloak instead of a coat. It wasn't even a dnd or larp thing, that's just what she did. She was known around campus as "cloak girl".
Cloak looked a bit like pic related, only cleaner. Just mentally remove all the other stuff and replace it with a black t-shirt, jeans, and some books.
>>44099471
Cloaks are fucking comfy. If I could wear one without being the local weirdo, I would.
