>Yesterday, I had met an individual that inspired me to make this thread.
Do you have any stories of the strange people that you've come to meet sense you got into tabletop gaming?
>Every once in a while, I drive two hours up the road to visit my friend and play boardgames with his buddies.
>But while I'm there, I always have to visit this one used bookstore that has a great section on old role playing game books.
>So we go, and immediately make a bee line to that section and start rummaging around for anything interesting.
>While looking around, I'm suddenly startled by someone shouting right behind me. He practically yelled directly in my ear.
>"SO WHAT DO YOU GUYS PLAY?"
>We turn to see a fat, little man, standing no larger than 5 feet staring intensely at us.
>I won't exaggerate for the sake of telling a story. He didn't stink, and he didn't seem unfriendly at first, he was just very loud, and very odd looking.
>I explained, "Well, mostly we play older versions of D&D, and Warhammer Fantasy. A little bit of everything, I guess."
>This is apparently where I made the mistake...
>I ask "what sort of stuff are you in to?" while I go back to looking through the books.
>"I AM GLAD YOU ASKED, ACTUALLY! MY GROUP IS CURRENTLY PLAYING AN RPG OF MY OWN DESIGN. YOU SEE, THE WORLD IS MADE OF FIVE INTERCONNECTED PLANAR NATIONS THAT ARE DIVIDED BY PORTALS. IN THIS WORLD, CHILDREN ARE BORN WITH SUPERPOWERS LIKE THOSE OF THE XMEN OR DC HEROES, BUT IT'S IN MEDIEVAL TIMES. TECHNOLOGY HAS ADVANCED TO BE LIKE THAT OF THE LATE 1800'S THOUGH, SO YOU CAN CARRY GUNS. WE'RE ACTUALLY LOOKING TO GET MORE PEOPLE INTO OUR GROUP."
>I explain that we're not actually from around here, but to be nice, I start to ask him questions about his setting.
>Every question is met with, "NO! I MUST HAVE NOT EXPLAINED THAT PART. LET ME RETELL YOU." But he had a really rude tone.
>He then proceeds to follow us for a little bit, explaining the lore and characters of his magical realm...

Are you looking to play, or just to meet up?
I could do any of those days, but it would have to be after work. Say, 6pm or later.
They seem to get a small croud for miniatures on Monday nights. Usually Infinity or Warmachine, but the owner and I have been trying to get Flames of War or Team Yankee up and running there as well.
To be honest, Team Yankee is probably...

Got six T-72s sprayed up already. Pretty hype for the weekend release!
Let's do a writing/thought excercise in world-building and restraint, /tg/
I need you to make a setting that has the culmination of all your major fetishes, except it has to be safe for work. It can be suggestive in some regards, but it cannot contain sexual content in any means.
You'll want to try to water down and hide your fetishes as much as possible, as well as being a decent enough setting that others may want to actually play it, such that other anons will have to guess what your fetishes are.
For instance, I'll start:

It's an early Greecian themed setting taking place in a Cretian/Minoan based civilization, The upper crust of society closely resembles the Boros faction of Ravnica with Divine Powered Minotaur Paladins serving as the Human nobles' enforcers. You have Neanderthal/Gigantopithecus/Vanara/Inbred Humans/Early Hominid Cavemen races serving as the lower class to which they're more treated closer to slaves than citizens, because of how abject the power of the noble class is. To make matters worse, much of...

Can we stop with the "magical realm" shit already? It was funny at first, but now it's just fucking sad.

Sounds like you have a serious inflation kink.

Alternatively, stop replying in threads you dislike, and only reply in threads you enjoy.

Hey /tg/, let's have an image thread of some treasures, items and the like that might be useful for campaigns.
Be it conventional loot, artwork, enchanted objects or accessories, let's see what we've got.
I wonder what might be up with this creepy little bastard. When I stumbled across it, I thought it would make for a great cursed item... But I'm not sure what to have it do.
Gold Legos.
I don't really think there has to be more to it than that. Sounds like a toy for royalty... or a baby dragon.
Image limit reached, initiate new thread protocols.

I really like these police guns.
Post your favorite armor sets here. Any system, any setting.

Chitin.
Alternatively, hide. I don't care if its functional or smelly or whatever - fur = luxury, warmth and bulk.
Keep trying to find images of rhino hide armor, so far haven't.
