Does the Jedi council pair hot padawans with powerful senators often? Is that why they have so much political sway?
>>44207788
Na, the Jedi Council are terrified of sex because once upon a time this one thing happened and therefore never ever again forever and ever.
No because senators are not allowed to have sex, it's in the rules.

Micro warp jumps to dodge a torpedo barrage seems like a terrible idea.
>>44207366
Needs to be a RNG attached to each jump for Hilariously Bad Things happenings. If not, needs to be one of the first damn mods somebody makes.
I am very, very excited about this game. It's looks beautiful and they really seem to have nailed the feel of the setting. Nice to see a few little shots of the Eldar ships in there as well.

Is it wrong that all I want to see right now is a wave of Brute Ramships slam into a Battleship?
>Robot comes from the future terminator style.
>For some reason, it's giving the present technology from the future and the future notable items from the past.
Explain why.
>>44207339
It's trying to make the past into the future and the future into the past so as to reverse the flow of time
>>44207339
The robot is from the far future, where the civilisation from the present has wiped themselves out due to nuclear war/climate change/aliens/magic/whatever, and a new civilisation has taken its place and grown to the point where it can make time travelling robots. The technology from the future exists to combat that issue, and hopefully ensure that the current race survives up to the future that the robot came from.
The robot is taking notable items to his future because they're needed, either as antiques to sell for a shit load of digital cash or because the techniques needed to make them are lost due to data loss/memory wiping/lost papers/whatever.
>Alternate theory: Robot comes from the far future where the current civilisation has fallen and a new one has risen, and is just a massive fucking weeb for the present civilisation's culture, and wants them all to live with him in his future while taking key items to adorn his awkward [present civilisation] shrine he's kept in his manufacturing box.
>>44207339
Time travel is risky and the supercomputer that sent it back doesn't want to risk destroying everything just to give its minion slightly better technology.
Are you driven by self control and a desire for harmony, or are you driven by passion and a desire to control the world around you?

anyway, where do you guys get inspiration for the worldbuilding when you DM?
I'm about to start a short campaign, because our usual DM will be out of town for a month or so. The world is supposed to be a mashup of gaming and book related lore which I like, cause our usual DMs world is similarly build around a mix of mtg, wow and might & magic lore
Why does /tg/ always call "SHILL! SHILL! SHILL!" whenever someone tries to drum up interest in an RPG or some other /tg/-related product they like, as if developers regularly come to /tg/ to peddle their products?
And when developers actually do show themselves in threads like /wodg/ or /pfg/, everyone is all welcoming and chummy all of a sudden instead of calling out shilling.
Because when someone randomly posts a thread about some weird RPG and tries to get everyone interested in it, it usually sounds pretty fake.
Like, most people asking about an RPG usually post something along the lines of "Does anyone play whatever?" and that's it.
So when you get posts like "Anyone play whatever? It's really good and nice and new and indie and on sale right now." It's pretty obvious of their intent.
When devs show up in threads about their products that are already running, it's pretty obvious they're...

>someone tries to drum up interest
That's what shilling is.
Ironically, I wouldn't mind at all if developers came here to promote their game. Like they created a thread, used a trip, and as well as showing and talking about their game and posting info and insider pics, they also answered questions and took input and stuff. Not like an ongoing general thread every day or so, but every once in awhile? Sure.
When someone does it for free though, even someone who has nothing to do with the developers or the game? No way.
anyone selling a casual only version of "Emrakul, of aeons torn." for around 3-5$?
I don't want to have the card be obviously fake, but not real enough to be called out on.
Why not just buy a pre-rrlease one? They're a lot cheaper and are foil

>I don't want to have the card be obviously fake, but not real enough to be called out on.
... what?
>>44207922
He's trying to buy forged cards, anon.
Most people use them for EDH/casual when the real deal is $20+.
The quality of knock-offs is so good now that you really can't tell, ESPECIALLY in a sleeve. You have to be a special kind of autist to hold a card up and squint and bust out a magnifying glass to look for interlacing and shit.
Which, yeah, they do at a big tournament, but most people are getting away with murder out there.
You are adventuring in a dungeon and discover a large treasure chest. You manage to get it open, and inside are a bunch of balls (and a few cubes) that are painted in strange symbols. They seem to be alive, able to move on their own, and are constantly communicating with each other. Pic related.
What do you do?
Laugh as my inervating field soon kills them and raises my casterlevel for each death.

My nephew has been expressing a big interest in Warhammer 40k fluff after seeing my models. I'm not sure his parents would appreciate the expense of getting him into the game, so I was thinking about getting him a 40k novel or two for Christmas. Possibly Dawn of War I as well.
What would you suggest as a good starter novel for someone with little knowledge of the setting? Space Wolves Omnibus? Ciaphas Cain? Pic related, one of the first ones I ever read back in high school.

Thread topic: Riggers - What would you like to see improved or added to make them usable in 5e?
Ok I have a player who thinks he does not need more then one sin and uses his "real name" Now the type of game I'm running has them doing legal work but I wanted to know if there is any rules on tracking a sin or do the person in question just need to know the right people?
>>44199253
NOOOOOOOOO
>>44199756
Well there are rules for checking a fake sin, and if it fails once then it will fail any and all future tests of any type.
The SIN is used to track purchases at legal establishments, licenses and things like rent and bills. so if you have access to the SIN database you could see those things as well as when and where the SIN was checked for validity.
As far as tracking where they are right now from their SIN, I would say a matrix perception looking for a commlink broadcasting that SIN then you would have to...
