So my regular group has decided to give vampire a go, I've never played it before so I thought I'd turn to you lovely lot so I don't make a fool out of myself. The setting is 14th century Romania and I've decided to go for Tremere because blood magic sounds fucking cool.Is there anything specifically I should be aware of? Anything to watch out for? Vampire general as well I guess.

I have no idea what the Salubri are.
>>44444539
The Healers and the Warriors.
Clan Salubri, descended from Saulot, universally seekers of Golconda.
Since their purge, they either walk with caution or with fury.
>stuck in an mmo plot

>skills are trained the old fashioned way

Oh, and this would be a Die in the Game Die in Real Life kind of deal.
>>44442499
It is an interesting setting.
But how would you compose a party out of paranoid superpowered assholes?
>>44442625
Isn't that what high level D&D/Shadowrun/GURPS/anything is anyways?
In a setting where the supernatural exists (hidden) and many countries have at least a token organization dedicated to fighting it, how might Israel/Mossad's look?
>>44442368
They would be the vampires.

Following a similar thread from a few days ago; what are some genres/themes/settings that you feel are under represented out there?
Always looking for inspirations for projects, I'm looking for things that stand out and aren't just your Tolkien fantasy or 40k rip-offs. Personally, big ones I'd like to see is stone age/bronze age fantasy and science fantasy stuff. Stuff other than soft sci-fi, although it sounds hypocritical since complaining about 40k rip-offs, but more that line, where magic and fantasy tropes aren't hand-waved as nanobots or psychic powers.
>>44442297
My dream game and pet project for some time is:
Small scale (6/10 mm) fantasy mass combat with a focus on giant ass monsters.
Like titan battles in epic but with motherfucking wizards and dragons.
>Your earthquake spell just killed 100 knights.
>Your behemoth can't slow down fast enough and steps on your skeleton horde.
>>44442297
Source for that mini, please?

Westerns. We need Westerns. We can make Westerns, right here, right now, but not one fuck will be given. I know it.
Playing a Metal Gear game here pretty soon and I'm playing a brain in jar piloting a pretty convincing exosuit/robot body to do my dirty work (imagine Metal Knight from OPM to the extreme). Time delay and all that has been figured in (I'll be botching perception saves left and right).
I'm looking for neat and convincing exo or robot suits which'd lead you to believe there's a person inside, or it is itself a person. I'll be dumping what I've got.
Bonus points for concealed face by any means. It's the hardest part to get right.

Could someone recommend me some Rpg that uses a deck, i heard that dust devils is a good one but i cant find a pdf of it
>>44441625
Castle Falkenstein.
I think the Malifaux RPG uses a deck. Through The Breach.
Savage Worlds uses a deck for initiative.
Now that its part of casting costs... how long til chroma/devotion to Colorless?
http://tabakrules.tumblr.com/post/135539909699/does-stuff-like-kozilek-the-great-distortions
>>44441282
but why not? devotion I understand, but chroma fits perfectly mechanically with eldrazi stuff.
Question for dipshits who think C is a color:
Would a creature that cost 2CR and did not have devoid be a colorless creature?
No. It wouldn't.

Hey /tg/, so I've been working on a system for a while now and it's gone through so many iterations and changes in the past year so I'm looking for some opinions and fresh advice. It's a lot to explain so I'm just going to give general explanations for key features and if you have specific questions, feel free to ask.
(I'm going to start by explaining the lore so that the scope and scenarios that are presenting in games makes sense.)
The current lore for the world that the game is built into is that some cataclysmic event triggers...

Hunting parties are considered some of the most dangerous groups to join but the prestige and materials earned off of a successful hunt keeps the profession with a steady supply of volunteers. Aside from assisting in population control, these hunting groups train some of the most powerful individuals a colony has to offer and provides groups with food sources/materials that can't normally be grown in agricultural facilities.
In more civilized settlements, expeditionary groups form often in order to search for relics from an ancient age, study the creatures in the...

The creatures that inherited this new world are animals that have grown larger, smarter, and more aggressive in most cases. While the exact types of evolution vary from species to species, one feature to take note of is differences in their species' history compared to similar species.
Domesticated dogs grew alongside humans for most of their life so when the evolution began, household canines started to adopt more human features (such as a bipedal stance, limited thumb movement, communication skills, and minor tool use) while wild wolves grew large and brutish (closer...

That's pretty much covers the bases for the lore.
If anyone is lurking, I'm going to move onto gameplay. If nothing comes up I'll just end thread to save time.
The system was originally meant to be a way I could play a high-speed, action-based game with friends and was built around the mentality that it could be used to run sessions of Monster Hunter, RWBY, or Dark Souls (with some small tweaks). Over time though, I wanted to have something that was more my own so I built this world to house the system.
With this in mind, many of the mechanics...

You were in your mid 20s and working as a junior associate in a modest company. It might not be the most glamorour job that someone could have but it was the best you could do straight out of college. "Izumi, can you get this data to me by the end of today?"
"Yes!" Unfortunately, ever since you got the job you've been busy. Your life has revolved around pleasing your bosses to hopefully move up the company faster.
"I... I have to endure this for her." The only one that pops up into your mind was your beloved girlfriend. You've...

So if Age of Sigmar is just WH:FB later in the timeline, how are they going to advance the story/create new material for normal Warhammer Fantasy?
>>44439111
Protip, they aren't
>>44439111
The old world is gone and ended. Everything is continuing in AoS now.
Black library may still sell the old books in digital, but no new content.
Age of Sigmar is the continuation of the story, with End Times bridging the gaps between the 2. And instead of doing a stagnant setting with AoS, they plan on doing a continuing story with it. Something different.
40k and old warhammer were stuck in their timeline, but with AoS it is supposed to be different.
>inb4 veritable shitstorm over aos
So I picked up some WHFB stuff a while back (a starter kit like thing of some kind) because I was going to try and get into minis gaming. Assuming I ever figure out the rules, does this mean that it basically won't be a thing anymore? Or would it still be something people will be selling? And if I have to get Age of Sigmar instead, does it play the same way and have all the same rules?
A friend and I recently created a game type for magic. So far its extremely fun, we've named it "Luck of the Draw" It's based off of the card Worldfire. Our gamer-tags are TheLuckyPotato and Var Tris

tried making a thread on /b/. didnt last long. basically i bought pic related and i have the expansion coming on the firt of the month. i also ordered some heroscape tiles. my family and girlfriend love it. what i want to know is is this game catching on? i read up on the discontinuation of heroscape and the rebranding and it seems like that will help. lets just talk about this wonderful game.
should i but a second base set?
do you play alot of this?
lets talk
>>44438131
any former heroscape players who have an opinion on this? any cheap terrain places? this shits absurdly expensive
>>44438218
Ebay and flea markets, pray you're lucky. Otherwise, buy some pieces, get some resin, start casting your own.
It's a fun game, but I figure it'll be dead by the end of 2016. WotC isn't really pushing it very hard.
>>44438412
that sucks. if i could just get like one more expansion and maybe some official tile packs id be so happy. i just want decent replayability.
