Lets talk about this shit site. Roll20 has done a lot of terrible things to the hobby since it came about.
What's your experience with roll20 /tg/?
What is the worst thing that the site has spawned?
What would you change about the site if you recently broke into their office and murdered the Dev team, and now have their computers in front of you?
The worst thing this site has caused is the whole Players looking for GM's and them telling the GM how to run the game.
I'm sorry, but you don't get to tell the GM what to run, how to run it, and anything else relating to the game. The GM is god of the table. Sure the game isn't a game without players, but it's easy to replace players.
Freaking player entitlement.
Its only sin is giving the dregs and That Guys an easy way into games that they'd never get into in person, for their Nurglesque stench would kill the GM.
And their servers only going down while I'm in a game.

Such as?
Assuming a civilized society and a tribal society are in close enough proximity to eachother for trade and the rare few intermarriages, what could motivate the tribal society to remain tribal instead of civilizing as well?Posting dark elves is fine too
>>44443955
Religious and/or cultural restrictions and taboos.
Preserving tradition and thier way of life
The tribals could be nomadic, so picking up civilization would be seen as a waste to them as it would get in the way.
Things like that.
Culture pride, religion, being in an environment that doesn't force them to civilise because there is no real need to.
>>44443955
....Anon, why does "tribal" preclude "civilized"?
This shit is literally what "enthocentric" is used for.
Can a succubus be killed by a 2x4 with a nail in it?
>>44425368
I guess that depends on how physical and alive your demons are, but probably.
Anything can be killed with a little effort, elbow grease, and a Railgun capable of firing scrap at Mach 30.
What?
No.
Definitely not.
Why would you even think about doing something like that?

Interlude: Holy Tree
Yoshiro. A Shinto term denoting a space meant to attract gods and animistic spirits while also allowing them a place to inhabit. Objects, rocks, or even large trees often bear this denotation and are ritually bound in rope and charms. One such tree in the Shinjuku...

Quest START
Scaffolding and unfinished walls of steel and concrete loom ahead of you, darting through the construction site you manage to keep your pursued prey within your vision as the chase enters the outskirts of more claustrophobic corridors. It has been hours since you first started following this lesser shadow creature from the national garden, and you feel it assumes some degree of safety and familiarity in this place by its body language.
You’ve been staring at it long enough to be aware...

Though you are aware of that darkness in you being diminished, and you have lost the ability to sniff out this magical taint on your own, the hunger for it still calls to you. Recently you have made all efforts to resist it after learning what it was and what it might turn you into.
You will not fall to being a vessel of Chaos, you will not be transformed into some destroyer of worlds.
Still, predatory instincts guiding you, there is something that gives you pause.

Glad to know that the tree doesn't take any from the monsters either.
Welcome to Banished Quest!
You take the role of a young mage labeled a criminal by his people and cast out into the wider world. In the last thread you joined an ancient artificial hivemind and came across an old friend.
It is currently the 26th of Svarthi, in the year 936 NH.

It occurs to you that you never really did get around to finding that red gem Sadik wanted. You never even made a vague attempt. You'd forgotten about it for the most part. How long has it been since you took that job? It feels like months. “Sadik! Where have you been these last few months? I've been wondering when next our paths would cross!”
He dismounts his overburdened cart with some difficulty as servants unharness his camels and lead them off to be attended to. “I have been traveling Elven lands, and I figured so long as I was on the mainland I may...

The traveling merchant smiles broadly, bowing apologetically. “How foolish of me, of course.” He rights himself, one hand diving into the disorganized junk piled atop his cart and extracting a large fruit. It's shaped like a teardrop, the bulb of the fruit bright red with lengths of green sprouting off of it at various points. The outside is fleshy, and the entire thing is nearly as large as your head. “Allow me to offer you this as recompense, from the jungles of Elaudia.”
Zahak leans forward, sniffing it suspiciously. In the end he takes it in his mouth...

How is civilian life like in the Imperium? Considering how vast it is surely there is a lot of planets with good quality of life otherwise most of them would rebel.
>>44461865
No.
In the grimdark of the far future, there is only edge
Well depends on what you define as good....
The chances of being born on a hive world and into misery are fairly low but then again all the other worlds in the imperium exists to support such worlds and there efforts to support the war machine.
There is not much on the day to day of your average hive worker/agri farmer/industrual workers life. however leisure and other such activities are likely tied into the imperial cult to a large degree.
Think of it like living in a huge cult where everything you do more or less is controlled daily and while there...

Sure if you have a planeswalker to go with it.
>call the gatewatch

It's a little weird that it's white. Wouldn't have expected white to be the planeswalker color.
Fucking wizards ruining the lore because they want marketable characters
This is Boruto Quest, a quest set in the universe of Naruto. It is during the generation of Naruto's son, shortly after everyone has graduated from their Genin exam. I haven't kept up with the series beyond the end of the original one, so this one is intended to recapture the feel of that time of Naruto. I will not be incorporating the main show or the Boruto movie's plot into the quest, although some recognizable characters will be present. You play as a 12 year old Genin graduate named Takeshi. You have been assigned a Jounin squad leader named Hanto, and your...

To start, here is Kichiro and Sarada's match. I gotta dig through my history to find the next one to post.
The reason I'm doing these in pastebins is because I want to save time for the main event.

Frame the centaurs for the missing patrols
When the humans attack them we roll in and save them
Big hereos, they side with us
>>44437146
unless this back fires, both sides find out we played them and team up to exterminate us.
>>44437146
This is a terrible idea. The centaurs are our only ally in an ocean of enemies.
Hey /TG/ what games would you recommend for some family fun with 7 players?
Risk

FATAL

Can't remember how many it holds, but Risk comes to mind. It's basic, but that just means everyone will understand it. Only issue is number of players.
The temple of Inora at Kiro Fin was not always so still and silent. Sure, it’s now just you and the Ice Maiden (as the cult leaders are always known as,) and even when she was an initiate it was just her and the old Ice Maiden, but there was a time when all of Tarsh and western Sartar sought to appease the Goddess of Mountain Snow, and there were initiates enough to tend to it. In those days you surely would have had men a-plenty performing The Hill Of Gold and seeking your hand, but in this diminished state it is not so.
Which is why this morning instead of being sent...

With your boon at hand, your thoughts turn to the last week. With your mission at hand, you now know that your mothe-that the Ice Maiden must have had motherhood and children on the mind, so when you weren’t hunting she brushed up your instruction on Inora’s children. Looking down onto the rest of dragon pass, you begin to idly consider which you have the most in common with. This will influence the nature of Yanestra’s ice-magic, as well as her personality
>Snowdrift.
Out of all Inora’s children, this daughter of Orlanth and Inora is aligned more than any other to the Movement rune.
Also, the child of Inora you claim descent from the goddess through.
>Father of Avalanches.
This son of Inora, less powerful than others outside Inora’s lofty domain, is more closely aligned to the Disorder rune.
>Biting Frost.
Son of Inora and the North Wind, Biting Frost inflicts terrible wounds nearly deserving of the Death rune.
>Ice-slip
The lie of stable footing is this what ties Ice-Slip to the Illusion rune.
Ice-slip
It's tumultuous times in Dragon Pass during the Wind Stop, the subtle hand of illusion could be what we need

What are some good pen and paper rpg games?
I'm only really familiar with the Fantasy Flight Warhammer shit, because I looked into myself since I like Warhammer, D&D but only really 3.5, since it was like the quintessential pen and paper game a few years ago.
I actually have free time for this kinda stuff now, and I'd like to know anything else out there.

Dumping some of my scif-fi weapons images.
Also, looking for ideas for future types of weapons, particularly types which could feasibly replace current firearms technology given time and improvements in tech/engineering.
Lasers, plasma, magnets, etc.
