What if instead of a small city it was a entire country?
I generally like crossovers despite them being bad, but if you can find a group of people who would want to play in this kind of massive crossover setting, then you should probably ask them for advice.
>>44513842
two approaches seem viable
1) a collection of different sized cities/counties/states each with varying degrees of generalized fandoms, along with regional favorites.
2) massive swaths of land dedicated to one fandom, thrown into seasonal bouts of mock combat and economic pressure to expand their fandoms, with small crossover enclaves along the frontlines.
>>44513927
I see it more as a small nation which, instead of provinces, it's fandoms. Fantasy fandom has a town, post apoc has a town, etc.
Is there a Fallout PnP? I'd love to do something set in the setting, and from what I remember of Fallout 3/NV it wouldn't be too hard to convert it based on the game. VATS is kind of bust at least afaik, but the stats/skills are easy to make sense of. Does any anon have a homebrewed system? Also Fallout General Thread.
There is, I had it years ago back when 3 first came out. I don't think it's official though so you'll have to do some digging around to find it.

whatever happened to that war game we were working on, it was fun sharing the delusion that there was an actual fallout war game while one was actually worked on
>>44515342
Hell if I know, but it'd be cool. I have some thoughts on it, but most of them depend on the scale of the game, aka squad to platoon level 28mm or company sized 15mm.
Are there any games or settings where there's only one playable race, and it isn't humans?
I guess Mice Guard counts but I refer to humanoid races, like elves, orks or dorfs EXCLUSIVELY

Awesome Cold War concept art thread?
http://fastercombat.com
Is this worth the time and money, or is it all a scam? Do you think their "lessons" are only for D&D and Pathfinder?
This is the most autistic shit I've seen in a while.
The fastest way to make combat faster is to get rid of initiative. It is a garbage idea that only serves to slow down combat and hurt tension.
As a game designer, I immediately discard any RPG I see that uses an initiative system. It is outdated game design and it is time the RPG community accepts that and moves on.
It got an article on Wired a few years back so it's probably at least somewhat legitimate. However, anything they give you for $27 (to start with) you can get for free by reading online and asking people for advice. Anyone who pays for this is a sucker. I feel bad for anyone just getting into the hobby that might actually be sucked into this shit because they don't know any better.
Also the man at the bottom of the page has almost no chin.
Make sure people are familiar with the mechanics of their character.
Seriously make sure people are familiar with the mechanics of their character.
Make sure you are familiar with the mechanics of the monsters/NPCs.
Cut down on idol side chatter

Surely some people have complied a multitude of imagery and documentation of historic arms and armor on various websites of the net, and I simply do not know about them.
However, when I punch in, "Indian armor 17th century," I get images such as this in the first score (image related), and must then question the authenticity of the other results.
I need reference for arms n' armor of just about anywhere in Eurasia; but I need proper reference and documentation, not just a collection of semi-random images (though that'd be fine at this point;...

What happened, /tg/?
When you play it the way you want to play it it's basically the same card. In exchange for Surge being less flexible than Kicker the body is more relevant without the alt-cost. The rest is just the lord templating stuff.

How does your character communicate with Divinity TG? Your patron deity or otherwise.
>>44510991
It can't. Said deity doesn't listen to people. Fortunately, a bored demon is paying attention and helps him, without the my monk knowing, of course.
>>44510991
There's a voice in his head. It speaks words wise and divine. And it has never steered me wrong so far. Not even when commanding to kill. Especially not when commanding to kill.
The PC is basically Joan of Arc except male and not French.

Who else plays yu-gi-oh?
I just got back into it a few weeks ago and i'm already pretty in to it. So much that I think I might hit up local tourneys again.
Just a few questions, along with this being a yugioh general discussion thread.
1. Are perfrompals or raidraptors good for tourneys? Ive gotten a lot of those cards, a few more for each and I'll have a full deck.
2. Whats the best type of booster to buy right now? I've been buying mostly secrets of eternity and clash of rebellions
3. Can you MST a pendulum monster? (when...

1) Performapal is one of the best tourney decks right now. Look up PePe.dek.
It's Performapal/Performage, not the frog.
2) If you're trying to do competitive, save your money and buy singles instead of packs.
3) Yes.
>>44511005
I also have a bunch of performages, but many more performpals.

Where do elves get their livestock and produce from? They can't have a hunter-gatherer lifestyle if their civilization is supposed to be reasonably advanced.
Do they have human plantation workers?

>>44510435
>They can't have a hunter-gatherer lifestyle if their civilization is supposed to be reasonably advanced.
Depends on the elves.
High elves and other kinds with an advanced civilization for a setting could might have used magic, the blessing of a deity, or something else to take care of resource production.
Wood elves and other kinds that don't have an advanced civilization for a setting could still be hunter-gatherers. If their native environment had...

Why don't intelligent magical beasts in D&D use magic items?
There are magic items for dragons in 3.5's Draconomicon, with stuff like claw-gauntlets and stabilizing flight fins and whatever.
I don't think there's any art of a dragon actually kitted out like that outside of the individual little art pieces in that equipment section, though.
>>44509760
I've seen a variant where dragon is connected to his hoard and is considered to have all the magical items from it on him. It night've actually been in Draconomicon.
>>44509595
... They do? As with all magical items it is an option.

What is the most fabulous character you have ever made?
>>44508240
My last Shadowrunner, Montecore.
He was flamboyant, he wore a Liberace coat with electrified fur trim for use in close quarters. (The Distinctive Style drawback). He spoke with a camp german accent and flirted with basically anything with a pulse. His contacts included former lovers (including an in-the-closet arms dealer) and the owner of a drag bar he used to perform at.
Montecore was also an 9-foot tall troll and the team's heavy weapons specialist.
>>44508240
A filthy rich, stupid young manvampirewith a penchant for blue suits, cowboy hats and pearls.
He had an elderly manservantghoulwho spoke in a hoarse, posh accent "Very good, young sir" and spent his off time in drug fueled orgies with prostitutes in his mansion.
The game was set in 80s Miami.
Pic, not related, but fabulous.
>>44508293
This kind of Chaotic Randumb shit is why nobody takes Shadowrun seriously.
Also the fact that you need to roll a shit ton of dice to resolve a single attack.
But the tacky setting is almost as offensive as the overcomplicated RIFTS-tier rules.
