Good evening gentlemen. For your entertainment, a quest thread. I would prefer if a more interesting race than humans, dwarves, or elves was chosen.
First race to three, and first place to three.
I haven't seen an undead thread yet....So I say go go Undead pirates Reef start. Because breathing is for the living.

You found yourself in a dark, cold room. The events which led to you to this moment was still fuzzy. You didn't notice the wide black screen until it sprawled back to life. A bald man in a fancy suit was addressing you, you couldn't make out the rest of his face.
"Greetings, commander. We apologizes for the necessary secrecy, it is...much needed in our field of work. In short, we need someone of your...intelligence in our current crisis. You were the perfect candidate for to resurrect the XCOM project...We...

This is a hybrid-ish experimental XCOM Quest where we will alternative between the commander and a common soldier on the ground. Since this is something new to the both of us, any suggestion would be deeply appreciated.

Hi, internet. It's the new year and therefore I have arbitrarily decided it is time to put my triphat on and find out how much lower opinion of the 1d4chan wiki has fallen. I've made some reasonable site alterations under the hood in the last couple of weeks so now is as good a time as any.
So probably the most noticeable change is that I am now redirecting all traffic to https and plain http is thus deprecated, thanks to LetsEncrypt being totally free to use and get a well-trusted certificate from. You now you need have no fear that anyone is packetsniffing whatever horrible pornography it is you can find on my site.
I have also abandoned the pitiful stable branch of nginx and switched to mainline for glorious ( and not-yet-feature-complete; come on, server push!) http/2 support, which will make accessing the site marginally faster. Generally though I think the server handles traffic very well and serves pages pretty damn fast, which is good for a bloated php application like mediawiki. This is combined with some tinkering and tweaking of caching to further improve performance and reduce the server load; generally it's all very good.
As always, the purpose of the wiki is to be a hopefully useful or at least faintly entertaining resource for /tg/, so if you have any suggestions or recommendations for things that could be done to make it better I am all ears. One thing I've been on the fence about lately is improving mobile support, as roughly half of the traffic now comes from mobile devices, and the desktop site is rather shit for a handheld screen; I'm running the MobileFrontend extension at the m. subdomain, but it's not exactly well-used. I'm considering installing a new responsive skin as a catch-all, but that's a fairly major change.

No comment other than thanks, m8.
7 or 8 years ago I stumbled upon the wiki and through it, /tg/ and 4chan.
You're a pretty cool fag, I'd buy you a drink of I saw you.

"Elia, I need your help."
Your brother sighs and nods, automatically reaching for his sling. "It's Noh, isn't it," he says. It's not so much a question as it is a statement of fact.
"I thought I could cope," you nod, "And with the fields, I was doing well... But he's a growing boy."
"I know what you mean," Elia nods, clapping a hand on your shoulder. "Still, it's only for now. He'll be able to help before you know it."
"He's already chasing birds away from the fields,"...

It seems reasonable, because Hitler was batshit insane and began the worst slaughter in history. 100M skulls (including 35M Chinese men, killed by Japanese) are totally worth to become Khorne daemon prince.
>>44627533
He was an idiot who didn't know how to use a military.
>>44627609
More or less this. Hitler's ideas of martial honour, which admittedly would have vibed with Khorne, were paper thin.
Had Hitler won his position directly through battle then yeah, maybe, but it was rhetoric that got him there so he's more Tzeench territory.
>>44627533
Crediting Chinese deaths to Hitler is retarded because the Japs began their war before Hitler did.
/tg/, help me, you're my only hope.
I need to most metal music ye can spare. Something you'd blast during a massive battle, a real suicide mission. It's for the final section of an upcoming mission my player's are going to complete, and I really feel like I need to go the whole nine yards. They've earned it, and I love them.

20 bottles of Alchemist's Fire and 20 bottles of oil
Death comes to everyone and death came to you, the only thing was you weren't a planned death. So the powers rulling over your world gave you a choice, you could spend all the rest of your life in Limbo or you could be reborn in another world. But not as another human or living thing but as something a sword. Once given the oportunity to choose your own fate you made yourself a magical Long sword with fire magic, owned by a barbarian princess. Unfortunantly things went in a different way once you discovered your owner was still in her twelve years and betrothed to a jarl...

Sure, what could possibly go wrong? Worst case scenario they just don't get invited back.
Let's make a total nightmare world, /tg/
I plan to use it in my Only War campaign, but with little tweaking it would fit in any setting.
Obviously it would be a Death/Daemonic planet, and I intend it to be a Space Vietnam meets Space Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs/Stroggos (so possible Dark Mechanicum outpost?)
Any poor Guardsmen sent here are either shot for heresy/insanity or are confined to an insane asylum.
What do you got?
The planet IS demons
>>44625385
Lulzy and totally 40k actually
>>44625286
It's different from your intentions, but...
Transport the Night Land setting to a planet at WH40K.
The whole planet's rusted manufactorum surface is open to the void of space, the sun is a legend by now, there's a single gigantic crust wound, a canyon as large as a continent.
There's atmosphere and life there, among other... things.
A single hive survives, dependant on archeotech relics that slowly degrade.
Outside, the wastes are filled with abumans, silent...

It's a god damn miracle.
You must now justify the existence of hand-to-hand combat experts in a universe where people have laser guns and grenades and shit without resorting to Dune energy shields or something.

Spiders don't look angry, dude. They look like they've got business in some other town and they're half an hour late and their boss is gonna kill them if they don't get this shit taken care of by the close of business today and you'd better not get in their fucking way or you'll regret it.
