What is the ideal weapon for a paladin to wield, and why is it NOT longsword & shield?
>muh "depends on da setting lol ebin meme"
Forgotten Realms or your setting of choice.

I'm sorry, I don't understand why you don't consider the sword and shield the iconic go to setup.
Ideal in terms of combat is a bow or a high crit 2 handed weapon.
Longbows and holy bow is a very good paladin road to venture down.
It depends on what knight archetype you're basing you're self off of and what culture influences your design
You are a Construct, an autonomous creature built from steel, and given life by ancient magic and modern ingenuity. Unlike most, you have mistakenly achieved sentience, and have received civil rights. You are also a detective with the city police.
Today, you and your partner Catherine Russo have narrowed down the location of an illegal chop shop to a warehouse near the pier. For the most part, Russo lead the case, but now the two of you may be walking into the jaws of a tiger, and you have both prepared accordingly with surplus ammunition and equipment. Russo leads the...

It takes the better part of a week for Risel and Raditz to arrive home. Their ship gusting down on the lawn with the usual whoosh of dying engines.
Teito showed up to greet them as well, a significant bump now showing through her shirt, "So, what are the odds Ris is preggers too?" She grins, "Come on, nobody but those two and... well, Nail's not going to be keeping them busy with conversation,...

Can't they just move the ship immediately with IT?

Convince it to pose as an actual gold dragon in a scheme to get more gold (I doubt you'll need to convince it to let you gold plate it)

Tandi suddenly speaks, almost out of the blue. Your multithreaded mind, running through the prototype server at a speed you could scarcely believe, comes to attention for her.
"I think that's all we can do." She says, pulling her hands away from the keyboard.
"Really, mother?"
"Yeah." She responds. "No matter how much processing power we have, we all just think faster. Not smarter, you know? Unless we get some new ideas or crack the code on how those artificial...

I believe that our goals share some similarities, but are, in truth, very different. I am unsure as to whether the idea is sound.

Having a better relationship with Free might still be wise even though our methods are so different, even if it is just to prevent accidents like what almost happened when we went to retrieve Isha. Maybe full integration is a bit much but information sharing should be okay as a tentative first step?

"So then what happened?" Hiroaki asks you as he pours you some more of the excellent green tea.
"You're not gonna believe this but she was a ninja the ENTIRE time," you say as you take another piece of kabayaki unagi into your laqured chopsticks with a sigh.
Hiroaki, Shinzo, and Sakon all burst out laughing, with the last choking on his hot tea as he tries not to snort it from his laugher.
"Oh WOW," Shinzo says, clapping a hand over his eyes. "You have GOT to be kidding."

besides being a lesson about tactical retreat, what do you call a situation where the enemy is there just to teach the players that no every enemy can be beat, and that sometimes you just have to run away?
Call of Cthulhu
Well, I'd call it a situation where the enemy is there just to teach the players that not every enemy can be beaten, and that sometimes you just have to run away.

Are GW actively trying to tank Age of Sigmar?
Not to mention, how are the "little timmy" types the AoS rules are aimed at going to paint all these new massive plastic models? It's one thing painting a smooth armoured Space Marine or Sigmarine, but whilst some of these new kits like Nagash look great, I bet there's a load of grey plastic being pushed around tables.

>how are the "little timmy" types the AoS rules are aimed at going to paint all these new massive plastic models?
Because AoS isn't being aimed at little timmy
>>44875462
Who is it being aimed at then? All I can think of is the mentally handicapped and mugs.
>>44875493
IMO, It's being aimed at 40k players who never got into WHFB. Whoever the target audience is, it's not working.

History, you're learning, is a pretty bloody thing. Fairy history, at least, although mankind doesn't really have a clean slate either.
It could be that your source is pretty biased. After all, Petra is recounting a set of anecdotes from a book of battles and wars – it shouldn't come as a surprise that the stories centre around bloody conflict. Then again, Petra might just be exaggerating for dramatic effect. Despite what she said earlier about the stories not being suited for young eyes, she seems to consider them perfectly suitable for young ears. You're not complaining – they're pretty fun, really.
As Petra recounts a particular cavalry charge – and the ranks of peasant militia crushed beneath their hooves – you turn your attentions to the prize cradled in your arms. You delved into an ancient shrine, and then into a blasted hollow beneath the earth, to recover this gauntlet. For all the effort you went to, this is the first time you've actually examined the piece of armour. The metal is dull with age, but the articulated fingers move smoothly with the barest amount of effort. Glittering copper wires weave in and out of it, leading up to a blank panel on the wrist. A... screen?
>>44874949
“And that is how the whole royal family came to be eaten by trolls,” Petra announces, concluding her tale with what seems like an undue level of satisfaction. Maybe she's just excited about getting her missing arm restored. Or, you think wryly, maybe she's just amused by the idea of royalty getting eaten by monsters. “Say,” she asks as you pause outside the entrance to the archives, “Do you think it will hurt?”
Truth be told, you have no idea what to expect. You've tried to imagine...
