With Wee Rabbie being picked up by Dutch police for outstanding battery charges, Barney being hospitalised in The Hague for Lazy Bastard Syndrome, Wadey currently off his face following his Euro Tour win at the weekend and Clownman being kept on a leash by his hambeast wife, it's the top 4 in the world fighting out to claim this year's title.
Suitably, World #1 plays World #4 with Michael Van Gerwen fighting it out with Adrian Lewis in the first semifinal of the evening. MVG comes off the back of his first Euro Tour defeat this year by Wadey in Hamburg, while Snackpot was dumped out by Jelle Klaasen in the same event. Matches between what the PDC hopes to be the new Taylor-van Barneveld have seldom lived up to the hype, largely due to the Stokie not bothering to put any effort in; can he get to the final for the first time in 5 years or will autism prevail once again?
A rematch of 2015's World Final is next with reigning PL champion and World #2 Gary Anderson up against World #3 Phil Taylor. Taylel managed to throw away a four point lead over MVG to end up second in the league phase following his defeat in Rotterdam and miss out on the £25,000 League Leader bonus. Gando, the triple-killer of Philth last year, has not actually won this matchup since their singles match at the World Cup. Plus, with his ill effort in the first phase of the league and then downright jobbing effort in the second phase, can the gameraising Scotsman use his powers for good just this once and KILL PHIL?
With the move of the World Youth Final to the end of the year, there's no reliever before the final this time, so expect Sky to throw in 1000 Taylor montages if he gets through. THIS IS WHY YOU HAVE TO WIN YOUR SEMIFINAL, GARY!

And so 2016's Premier League comes to an end.
The season as a whole... it won't be remembered for much. Despite MVG's historic 123.40 average, a number of nights, especially in the post-elimination phase, just showed the strain being put on the players from playing at such an intensity.
Still, we had Blubby Boy get embarrassed by humiliated by practically everyone, Thornton doing the exact same but over a longer time period and Chizzy going from darts to the PL final last year to elimination this year.
However, one match of this PL will be remembered for a long time. Since the split, Phil Taylor has usually broken players and caused them to give up in some of the most humiliating fashions possible.
Nobody has seen Taylor go from 2-1 up to an 11-3 defeat. Ever.
Sensational outshots from the World Number One, including a Taylor-esque double double 20 100, broke the Power to the point of laughing and joking with the crowd like so many of his victims before.
MVG is demonstrating the sort of mindgames Taylor uses on shit players like Kevin Painter and Paul Nicholson, but MVG's using it on the best players. This could be another era of domination a la Philth, but it'll be a far more attractive dominance.
The pundits saying Taylor would be making a fightback are complete idiots now.
