After last week's largely dull evening in Sheffield, the Betway Premier League hops across the Irish Sea for the last time this season as Belfast hosts the eleventh night of darting action.
First up is the sole "derby" of the session as Robert Thornton plays "fellow Scotsman" Peter Wright. Wee Rabbie is nine points off the playoffs at the start of the evening, and despite having a double-header, can only get up to seventh whatever happens. Clownman can join three other players on 13 points if he overcomes the Ayrshire assaulter.
Next is a fixture that in recent times has either been bombastic or fizzles out as Phil Taylor faces Raymond van Barneveld. Barney is the other double-header tonight and could end up just two points off the playoffs with a double success this evening. The Groper is currently on a 10 match unbeaten run that sees him top the league table by three points, but with no PL win against Raymond since 2013, expect him to be gunned down by the Dutchman.
Two players in prime contention for the playoffs are up afterwards with Adrian Lewis playing James Wade. Snackpot is in uncharted territory as his usual lack of effort in anything not called the Worlds has been strangely absent. Med Man will be hoping to put his rape and hostage by Taylel behind him after succeeding in the opening fixture last week.
The top two in the world are in the penultimate match of the evening with reigning PL champion Gary Anderson up against Michael Van Gerwen. MVG had an inconsistent weekend with a win, 6-5 final loss to Benito van de Pas and then a bizarre 6-0 humiliation in the PC5 final by Ian White not really reflecting the 118 average he threw last time in the PL. Gando will probably not perform like he did last week with that embarrassing implosion against Philth.
Thorn and Barney then face each other in a match that, if both have lost their openers, will surely end their playoff hopes if it's a draw.

Opening the evening, Wee Rabbie was more like his best with a sensational 106 average and a crushing victory over Clownman, whose ridiculous insistence to repeatedly change darts completely cost him tonight. Although he can switch with ease at times, tonight was a particularly stupid evening to do so.
Philth then cruised to a fairly simple victory over Barney despite a fight back from the Dutchman at 6-2 after Taylor fluffed numerous attempts to close the match out earlier. The Groper was unusually calm in the post-match interview, which may suggest he's actually focused on the PL now it's offering a Leader's bonus. Is the re-rise of Taylor a bad thing? As long as it's not in the ranking events then I couldn't give a fuck.
The best and worst of Snackpot followed as he stormed into a 4-1 lead with 100% checkouts before blundering numerous double attempts as Wadey edged into a 5-4 lead only to be destroyed by a visceral 9 darter from the fat lad with a 144 out that turned the match into a victory for him. If Snackpot could play like that on a regular basis, he would have won a fuck load more than he has done.
A stonking draw followed with MVG and Gando producing 12 legs in just 16 minutes for a well-deserved draw. However, it's telling that Gando yet again raised his game against the World Number 1 but last week bent over for Taylel. If he's going to keep doing this in matches that aren't against MVG or not at the Worlds, he can get lost.
Barney all but eliminated Thorny with a scrappy victory that saw the Scotsman average 31 at one point. It wasn't the best closer to the night, but it more than proved they deserve to be at the bottom.
