Why do most top tier NBA players find black or latina wives? They are desirable enough to women to get a top tier white wifey, yet they go for the less desirable choice. (not being racist, but unfortunately in American, there is a hierarchy of derisability when it comes to race in women). Do they get ethnic wives to project some kind of image of ethnic solidarity or as not to be shunned by the black community and fans? I don't think young black men would even care if their NBA idols married black women and would probably even respect them more if they married some white country-bred blonde cutie rather than Tanisha down the block.
