I think if you have been alive throughout the years of Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Zidane you will recognise Messi as the GOAT if you actually watch football. I think if you watch matches you will see that Messi is not only a goal scoting, but also a creative force that helps out the attack by also dropping deep. I think in comparison Ronaldo used to be great, but in his greatest goal scoring seasons he has become an unbelievably good poacher coming in from the left when the centre forward has occupied the defenders. It think when Ronaldo has a bad game it's alot more noticable than Messi as when you take away goals from Ronaldo's game he doesn't really contribute as much as Messi.
I'd basically put it down to if you're a casual fan it's 50-50, but if you watch as much football as you can it's probably 75-25 in favour of Messi.
