I could see him transitioning into more of a static centre-foward role, he's still a tall lad with excellent technique and shooting. Even if he needs a complete ACL reconstruction, he'd be decent in a big-striker/small-striker partnership.

He probably will miss just the first few weeks of the season but he'll be able to play normally, he's been more of a finisher the past 3 years anyway. The best thing though is that whenever he performs poorly they'll say he's playing injured and such games will be completely ignored.
