First
Winmondbacks?
First for ESPN talking incessantly about Bumgarner's "cross-fire" delivery
I want to pop my baseball cherry.
29 year old yogurt here (TSUUUUU).
What game should I watch ? What should I expect ?
>>69470204
Ronaldo GOAT
cheer for the Dbacks senpai
>>69470204
Cheer for the Braves and be comfy.
First for Jake Lamb
>>69470253
>>69470374
Explain yourselves anons, why should I cheer for them ?
Should I have a speacial reason or should I just team I like the name better, the colors, the symbol, team spirit, attitude, etc! ???!?!
>>69470749
special*
choose* the team
Take a drink everytime they mention crossfire and bumgarner
And also when they mention the cubs and how theyre tanking recently
>>69470441
>>69470749
cheer for Arizona because I'm the only other fan on this board
>>69470749
The Braves aren't really good right now, but were a dominant team in the 90s to mid 2000s. They have the best prospect pool in the league and are getting a new stadium in a nice area. They are comfy.
>>69470749
I think you'll like the D-Backs.
Rough year but they have some pretty good players on both sides, also has the most unique color scheme in baseball, and Arizona is a state with a very unique identity that I think you'll come to like.
We won the World Series in 2001 in perhaps the most amazing ways. Look up 2001 World Series highlights for more. Namely Game 7.
Daily reminder that beating the Dodgers is equivalent to winning the WS for Giants fans
>>69470875
Dbacks are the Portugal of the MLB desu
(not this year, just in general)
>>69470843
Lamia and myself though.
lets go doyers
>>69469884
Having ESPN talk about your team is like watching them be raped on National television
>>69470901
Hmm that's a tough one to compare countries to MLB teams
But I could see that one being reasonable. Overlooked part of the USA, overlooked part of Europe. Especially when both are respectively under the shadows of California/Spain/England

one of you cops go shoot addison russell so crawford can get into the all-star game
Poor little Arizona.
>>69471339
I feel sorry for you. You have to play a prime-time game against the Jints.
Your starting pitching is pretty awful Dbacks. Sorry to say. I know you know this already
>>69471388
>Span handing the ball to Goldschmidt
That was pretty funny
How funny would it be if the Giants lost game 7 of the WS at home to the Cleveland Indians?
>>69471413
How big is your sad dback reaction image folder
>>69471453
you don't even know
He hit a good pitch desu
Can't do nuffin bout that
Espn cant even put up the live balls and strikes graphic
Jesus christ
So is Cueto or Bumgarner the ace?
>>69471549
Who cares about that shit?
>d'balks
cueto gets deeper into games more often
>>69471651
Also gives up more runs
How is it being a Bay Area sports fan nowadays?
>>69471670
negligibly more, and he has a 2.7 fip while bum's is 3.15
bum's still the ace but cueto HAS been pitching better
>>69471767
Not really. They're about even, all things considered
Where were you guys when madbum pitched a perfect game today in the near future? And you?
>>69471767
And about half a run per game isn't "negligibly" more
>>69471857
I say negligibly because they're not losing more games because of that half run. they've won more of his games but obviously that doesn't take into account shit like the bullpen fucking bumgarner over
Fug that was the pitch for bum to drive
>>69471968
not to mention run support
like that fucking phillies game where the jints got shut out
Fuck dude
We even year magic nao
Even year meme confirmed real
fug this team
I hate ESPN so much

Madbum doing his best Kershaw impression lol
>>69472948
FUCK
BLANCO
WHY
>>69473026
It's actually 4.2 innings. 5.2 innings would be 5 full innings and 2 outs in the 6th
>>69473026
>losing el perfecto to an error
He really is channeling Kershaw
>>69473084
or Jonathan Sanchez
(thanks Uribe)
>>69473026
>>69473057
So now it's 11 strikeouts through 5 innings
Fuuuuu
While the ball was in the air I knew it was a tough play. And then the catch Blanco made in Cains perfect game came to mind and I expected him to catch it.
>that strike called on Belt
The zone was a bit tight for the Dbacks, and he walked anyways so I don't mind, but that was kind of ridiculous
>Jon Miller
>seen so many Giants games in recent years where the pitcher ends up doing something special like this
>so used to them that he flat out talks about them on the radio by name
just doesn't seem right
IT'S THE CURRENT FUCKING YEAR
>he's here
>>69473286
>by name
How else do you talk about someone?
>>69473317
I was thinking the same fucking thing
Dark times when the girl announcer is the most bearable of the thred
I mean come on
It's too bad Bumgarner has thrown 73 pitches. It will be tough to get through the 9th
>>69473317

Cain's perfecto:
He leaves the radio loudly saying "6 perfect innings in the books".
He enters TV for the last 3 innings, saying "it's gonna get exciting."
I don't think he believes in jinxes.

All out of good/viable infielders. When Mac rolled on his ankle in Oakland, the "Nuclear Option" (calling up Christian Arroyo from AA Richmond) was officially on the table.

I can accept that though
That's just describing the events, not referring to them by name.
Even if you're not superstitious, it's just etiquette that keeps things a little more interesting and fun to experience.

Zero to both
more than a few have gone over the bleachers, Big Cat and Big Mac have hit one to the fence in front of the coke bottle.
Mac also had a BP homer in '01 that landed past the slides inside the bottle.
