The general issue with KD's choice is that he didn't just form a superteam. He went to a team that was already goddamn super and was loaded.
Think about this shit - KD could realistically play zero minutes this season and still be favored to get the NBA finals. How ridiculous is that shit? One of the top three players in the world, arguably the best offensive player in the world, could literally DO NOTHING and win a ring this season. That's why it's a problem.
Still, Jerry West's argument is right. Even if KD goes on to win several rings in a bitch fashion, ultimately history only remembers the record and not how it was done. Just sucks for us since a league that was already suffering in terms of parity got significantly worse.
