>51% of his wages go to the [official] Kingdom of Spain
>even then, he's had to go to trail for unpaid taxes

>meanwhile, he just left the AFA because they have no president, they have no vice president, they have no money, they don't pay the coach, and have no power to call up players

>this could've happened to Xavi, iniesta, mascherano.. but no, they did it to Messi
this is not exactly true, since ~2012 when the independentist movement in catalonia began to gain traction, most of the barcelona first team and the club itself have been involved in investigations and lawsuits by the spanish government. The list includes Pique, Iniesta, Xavi, Valdes, Alves, Neymar, Messi, Mascherano and I'm sure I'm leaving a few out

The day iker casillas left real madrid and gave a goodbye press conference, his manager (not sure if he is Ginés Carvajal) gave an interview in radio marca's 'el intermedio' show. He was asked what he did he think about the neymar case and he answered the contract barcelona and neymar had, with all those side pays and cheeky bonuses, was a standard practice in spain. He claimed the case had nothing to do with tax fraud but 'something else'. The audio of the interview should be available in marca's webpage, if you find out the exact date which shouldn't be difficult

Spain is a third world country and their government will always behave as such
>>
Theft and fraud are deeply rooted in argentinians genes.

>Messi not pay taxes is bad because he 'doesnt contribute to the economy'

Do you idiots not understand that Messi already contribute to Spains economy without pay tax?
Spain have a youth unemployment of 45%. 70% of Spanish youth work in sport shops selling Messi shirts. Without Messi shirts they would not survive and those youth would lose jobs. I would say without Messi Spain would have a youth unemployment of 80% because of his contribution.

Messi also make other important contribution. For example most of Spanish tourism is Brits, and they like the bars where they watch football and get sunburn. Without Barcelona on the television, no Brit would visit these bars, and the bars would close and less Brits would visit Spain. If this happens, Brits don't piss and shit on the buildings, which means, no job for the cleaners. Which mean no jobs for the cleaning factories. All because of no Messi. How is this not a contribution to the economy?

Messi contribute in other ways to. He make people happy. Happiness make the economy better. When Messi score for Barcelona all the Barcelona fans (half of Spain) are more productive the next day. It is a proven fact that Spanish business is 50% better when Messi scores for Barcelona. So if Messi was replaced by Harry Kane or Wayne Rooney the Spanish economy would collapse.

So why should Messi pay tax?
So some lazy spanish can sit on a bench for a homeless siesta? So the government can payy funding for import refugees?
Fuck off. Messi is not paying for a reason. Making him pay is criminal. If he spend a day in prison I will boycott all Spanish products.

regardless if messi should have or should not have paid his taxes, he is a grown adult that knows the law. if he cared so much about paying less in taxes he should have contributed to the libertarian party of spain or whatever the fuck they have there that's the equivalent. there are ways of going about things like a man and like a child, he chose the latter and should face the consequences.

Did you read anything about the case? He was tried for irregularities in the 2007-2009 period. So he was 19-22 years old at the time.

Argies are in full control damage, they know that messi fuck up everything but they don't want to admit it.

He's far from the first guy in Spain to have tax irregularities.

Apparently they have a huge underground economy there

You can alwayd tell an argentinan by the way they speak spanish. Their spanish is very half assed in annunciations almost as if they are to over themselves to speak properly and so they just half ass the words that come out their mouth
>>
>>69314267
if at 19 you are making enough money to rival the GDP of a small nation you have a responsibility to be accountable for that money.
>>
>>69310050
The whole thing was pretty much a giant beat up to distract the Spanish from the fact it's economy is still in the shitter, and subtly imply tax evasion is the cause of it all

The fact is that Messi's wage taxes paid by the club, the tourism, and value adding revenue (shirt sales, promotions, football match tickets) generated by Messi being in Spain alone is worth more than the 5m they didnt-then-did pay - not just in taxes paid to the tax office but also the run on effects to other people in the economy (multiplier effect)
