Donovan totally deserved to be on the 2014 team. The U.S. team isn't a German technical workhorse like Jurgen thinks, it's a mix of hard work and dedication and a little bit of meme magic. Donovan might not have been in the shape to run a full 90 but he had plenty of magic left in his legs.
