How do i into soccer? Currently watching Euro 2016 and im balls deep in it but i want to watch actual teams. Where should i start? Theres so many leagues and teams. I think this semen slurping sport is for me
>>
I wish it was possible to get an american woman like that in China whilst being european
>>
>>69056806
Support your nearest MLS and if able go to stadium

If you don't the sport just start with world cup history (it's fascinating) and watch great teams
>>
The big leagues are really EPL for overall parity and La Liga for intense title races
Don't bother with bundesliga (bayernwins), Serie A (juvewins) or Ligue 1 (psgwins4monthsearly)
Your best bet is to watch a season of play in PL and then after that you can decide what team you want to support, get a good look at how each team sets up and how they play, and which of these suits you the most

And then for CL you can just stay unbiased since it's pretty much the European super league, and that's where the most hyped games are

Also, buy Fifa, the online is fun, the game doesn't get boring like you think it would and it gets you a good knowledge of a wide range of players
>>
>>69056903
Also yeah like this guy said >>69056867, it's all good following a team across the pond but nothing compares to supporting your local team and watching them play at home

You need to understand that any team with a delineated tactic wins that league.

For some reason a lot of Jews, Arabs and Russians decided that the EPL is the way to go and pumped money into there. That's why people rate it, it's technically the most richest league and therefore attracts the most talent in the long run.
>>
Don't listen to those who tell you that you can only support your local team.

Follow next season's Champions League, which starts this fall, and pick your favorite team.
Follow them on their domestic competitions if you want, but honestly at this point I only watch the champions league.
>>
>>69056806
Make sure to watch the Champions League, it starts in September. Furthermore I would advise you to watch matches of the Premier League and the Bundesliga. Spain can be quite boring from time to time

Your league's the worst out of the lot

Face it, no one cares about your tinpot league, it's just a warm up for PSGs CL run

> Your league's the worst out of the lot
Of course it is, no one said otherwise.

>Are you telling me that one team guaranteed to win year after year is fun?
If you don't care about that team, yeah. You should try sometimes to care about the sport and not the winner, it's actually great.

> Face it, no one cares about your tinpot league, it's just a warm up for PSGs CL run
Again, stop projecting or thinking with flags in mind. Ligue 1 is awful, but discrediting Serie A and Bundesliga because of Bayern and Juve is just plain stupid. There is a lot of great and enjoyable teams to watch in those leagues that OP could definitely like.
>>
>>69057095
this

ligue 1 was based this year with the race for second and the relegation battle

RIP gazalec
>>
>>69057272
OP already said there are too many leagues and teams so of course i'm going to narrow it down to which one's he'd enjoy more

whether or not you can pretend you don't care about the winner (in your case you probably have to since its a given) you can't deny that a league with a title run which could go any way, such as EPL and La Liga, is overall more enjoyable to watch for an outsider than one where the big team always wins and swallows up the competition, like Buyern and Juventus
>>
>>69056997
It's still the most entertaining league to watch
>>
Ignore the EPL shill in your thread OP.

Watch a bit of everything, that's the best way.

Just don't fall for the 'La Liga is fun to watch' meme. Yes, they have 2-3 top teams and title races were exciting lately but bottom half La Liga clubs are poor with small 3rd world stadiums and no fans. While you may enjoy Barca beating some shit team 7:0 the fact that it's played in a tiny stadium that isn't even sold out takes away from the experience.

Speaking American to American:

Your best bet for leagues from a TV perspective are:
1. English Premier League
2. Champions League
3. MLS

The PL is on NBC and NBC Sports. Even if you don't have a good cable package, you can usually tune in on Saturday mornings to regular NBC and watch whatever match they're playing. If you have a moderately decent cable package, you'll have NBC Sports, and you can get the NBC Sports app (which is pretty decent) and watch lots of different matches. Lots of parity, lots of stars on display.

Champions League is the best of the best but if you're new into the sport they play irregularly. Also live matches are at 2:30pm ET/11:30am PT in the US on a Tuesday and Wednesday which is harder to get into. Fox has the rights, but only the finals and possibly semis get on to regular fox. Everything else is on Fox Sports 1 and 2. If you do have Fox Sports, the Fox Sports app is by far the best and comes in beautifully.

MLS is questionable quality and the television rights are a slutty hodgepodge like MLB. Some matches will be on your local sports stations, some on ESPN. It's also a retirement league and filled with graying veterans cashing in that last paycheck. Because it's American, you'll have to endure more American announcers who are getting better but still lag far far behind British and Irish announcers in quality. The pro is that you might be able to go actually see matches if you're local. The con is that most MLS tickets are way overpriced for the quality of product. (It'd cost me $45 a ticket plus taxes, fees and parking to sit in the upper deck to see DC United play Montreal in a decrepit RFK stadium that's not set up for the sport. Absolute bullshit). Also, even for the MLS matches on ESPN, if it's not on their main channel, you have to watch it on the Watch ESPN app, which is as enjoyable as drinking a tea made from boiled horse anuses.

Literally about to post this. I support Saint-Étienne and for me this season was fucking intense. Yeah, everyone knew PSG would win the league and just about everything else domestically, but the rest was a free-for-all (excluding Troyes who were the anti-PSG). Marseille nearly fucking went down.

Just watch the EPL. You get comfy Saturday and Sunday morning games. That's literally the best reason to follow any of the leagues.

As for a team, just watch the first couple weeks and find one. Don't worry about bandwagoning a team either because you're a foreigner and you'll look like some sort of autist supporting Burnleh.

As others have said, you can pick a team of the UEFA if you fancy it, but don't forget your local MLS club.
Club grow as big as their fanbase is, and countless players have stated how faithfull fans, even in times of defeat, cheered them up and helped them give their best on the field.

Just my 2cts (still worth more than a full £)

Pic couldn't be more related. He came because of the Metrostar legacy, you just have to help start your own

You got it bro, fuck the A.C.A everyday, they're the worse scum one can meet. Their owner is a fucktard mafiosi pretty much responsible for the actual collapse of the Corsican mentality. Fucking traitor to his own people.

The Gaz is where my heart is, my father being from Ajaccio. But living in Bastia i've attented more SCB games, and tb h, I've enjoyed the socio mentality, and the team spirit much more.

So it's a tie I'd say. But as you pointed out, local football is GOAT, and very necessary to the well being of all types of football.

The only guys I was upset about them leaving were Memo ochoa (this guy was goat, fuck his team still) and Frederic Hantz because he impersonated the SCB better than everyone.

Who's your liking going towards?
>>
>>69056921

>be fit

>be alpha

That simple really.

Having a foreign accent would usually help you, Aussies, Italians, Brits, French etc. "punch way above their weight" here.

Unfortunately you are at a disadvantage because our media is heavily biased against eastern europeans due to the Cold War and Balkan wars. Most americans view eastern european as backward, mongoloid cavemen. Definitely can be overcome by being handsome and alpha, but I'm not going to lie, being croatian will hurt you.

Don't mention it dude, it's too heart breaking to even remember.

First i'll be honest ansd recognize that the training centres in Corsica have followed the same trend than on the Mainland, i.e Fast and strong player, pretty much regardless of their ball skills and technique. So we ended with African players instead of Corsican, because the median height around here is like 5.6.

But more important, I think that it's a wish of the French govt (which have a lot of connexions with UEFA/FIFA) not to see u always on the edge of rebellion, kicking french asses. It's part of a global "plan" to blockade any attempt of Corsican nationalism and pride, whichever it may be.

Because I take it that if you're asking about it, you know how we kicked their asses. Repeatidly.
Thanks to Giuly and his bros. Probably part of the reasons why Domenech didn't even selected him in 2006 even if he was already GOAT in FCB.

So here's that.

Anyway it's a pleasure to know that a fellow strayan knows about us, moreover half a world away.

Island pride.

You're right about the "young talents", I don't know how, but we must still have decent training centers seeing that we regluraly produce good players. AJ Auxerre was renowed for that, much less now tho. Lorient and Marseille are still up there I think.

>>69062758

It was a while since I last heard of our "NT", so I just looked it up and saw that we made a tie against basque country bros.

Not to sound obnoxious or anything, but if the feroe islands are allowed an NT, so should we, and pretty much all the other regions that always wanted it. Wales; Scotland, and Ulster NT are a good exemple in my book.

But everytime I speak with a frog about it it's just plain butthurt and poujadism.

> us islands need to stick together

Exactly, I wish there were some kind of peacefull alliance of Islands.
As I see it, having lived on mainland too, the Island mentality is a thing, and you can find it on every one of them.
No wonder why englos are "self centered", or why Sicilians are so different from Italians, as are Sardes.

Keep up lad.
