If you're a /pol/tard, it's an excessively white sport. Two-on-ones resulting in sweet goals. Two-on-ones resulting in a smart defensive play to break it up. Goalie standing on his head. Hottest female fans of the four major sports, unless you count the escorts at NBA games. Good fan culture. If you're into Moneyball, Moneypuck has gotten big and analytics are becoming ubiquitous- Arizona just hired a 26 year old stat whiz to be their General Manager. Trade deadline day dealmaking. Maneuvers to make things work with the salary cap. Hat tricks. I'm spent.

Alright last thing- assuming you're in DMV, your team would probably be the Caps (don't be a Flyers fan... just... don't). They just came off their best regular season ever though they crapped out in the playoffs again. I'm obviously salty but they're returning mostly the same team for 16-17 so if you want to watch a team win a lot of games you probably can this year.
Ovechkin just had his tenth year and won the goal-scoring title- he'll still be electric a couple more years. Kuznetsov (young Russian) broke out this year and was top ten in the league in scoring, I think he'll contend for the scoring title this year. Holtby just won the Vezina (best goaltender) and fuckin' rules. Backstrom is a steady eddy playmaker and very overlooked but awesome player- one of the highest scoring centers of the last ten years, averages a point a game. Great coaching and committed front office- their HC just won the Jack Adams (coach of the year) and their GM was nominated for GM of the year. Solid supporting cast. They're just a fun team to watch. They just can't make it happen in the playoffs, and this goes back to some great teams they had in the 80's and 90's. I don't believe in curses... I think... but they've blown more series where they were up 3-1 than any other team... but some of those teams have been around 60 years longer.
