ITT: Eliminated teams say what changes they'd like made to their national teams before the 2018 World Cup qualifiers start.

>Djourou out, Klose in
While none of his mistakes actually led to goals, you simply can't afford to have a CB that at least once per match makes a mistake that could lead to a goal.

>Lichtsteiner reduced to a sub by the next world cup
He wasn't bad at the Euros, just not great. And Petkovic needs fullbacks who can get forward, which is why Lang should gradually become a starter, also he links up with Shaqiri well

>Frei in for Dzemaili
Again, Dzemaili didn't do badly, just not great

>Switch to a 442-Diamond/433 system
Shaqiri behind the two strikers, Seferovic alongside Derdiyok, Mehmedi dropped from the team to accommodate that. Seferovic would benefit greatly from having a striking partner who can actually finish for him, after he's made a good run past the defence. Shaqiri would occasionally drift to the right wing, with Seferovic drifting to the left

a good manager
a good keeper

Butland should be back soon.

>wilmotts taking some manager classes
while he is the best manager our team had in décades , he still make huge mistake like having fucking lukaku being infront to make goals when he isnt fast enough to get it when it come right infront of him
>>
Remove Del Bosque (most important point).
Remove Casillas, Ramos, Juanfran, Cesc, Silva, Pedro and Nolito.
Give more minutes to Bellerín, Gaspar, Koke, Thiago, Saúl, Denis Suárez and Alcácer.
Accept that walk-into-rival's-goal football is an anachronical approach at this point and stop calling slow-as-fuck midfielders/wingers afraid of shooting.
>>
Burn sterling, hart and wilshere on a stake, build a team around meme magic rashford
>>
>>69034906
this desu, ABU for life but Rashford was the only decent looking player when he was on the pitch yesterday
>>
>>69035324
Everyone else on the team just passes the ball slowly sideways until it falls into a position where they can shoot, rashford actually works to get it, good to see that hunger
>>
Do absolutley nothing. >we will finish ahead of England this time too and thats a fact.

>inb4 muh obsession
>>
we only need a good manager
haven't had one since bilić and he was more successful even if our key players were literally who's
>>
>>69034270
Slaven Bilić returning as national manager. That's all.
>>
/lifelong/ here

Tell Rooney to fuck off and make Vardy the captain. Build a team around him.

May not even qualified teams apply?

1. The fucking coach should be hanged
2. The tops in the Norwegian football association should be hanged
3. Either play 4-5-1 or 4-3-3

Pic related; the coach

>more cadre rotation
Playing the same 11 guys each game, regardless of form not only leads to unfit players in the starting lineup, but also eliminates any sort of competition in the squad. No competition leads to unmotivated footballers that don't remain focused and concede stupid goals, as evidenced by the euros and the previous friendlies.

>more tactical flexibility
Playing the same 4-2-3-1 at all times makes the team easy to predict. Both the Netherlands and Hungary had >us fully figured out. Of course that could have been overcome by pressing more aggressively, but it can't hurt to have a plan B.

>better preparation
Going into the tournament with a cocky attitude and starting 11 players that are either unfit or out of form doesn't work. Especially not if the opponent is Hungary
>>
>>69035739
>strikers
Janko is good, but he's really getting old now. Okotie and Hinterseer don't have a place in the squad and should be dropped for Zulj and Gregoritsch, who could both be groomed into very good future strikers for the NT.

>wingers
STOP PLAYING SABITZER AS A WINGER YOU FUCKWITS. Seriously, he's a fine supporting striker, but that's a position that doesn't exist in the current tactical system. Either play him where he plays for his club, or don't play him at all. Harnik needs to un-JUST his career before he can contribute to the NT again. Jantscher is not good enough. Both Kainz and Onisiwo are better options with more potential.

>attacking midfielders
Schöpf is the necessary replacement for Junuzovic, so >we can finally stop playing Alaba in that position when he's out. Thank god.

>holding midfielders
Grillitsch deserves a call-up. Since I don't expect Alaba to play in Bayern's midfield any time soon, it might be prudent to start him alongside Baumgartlinger and move Alaba to the LB position, but that's an issue for the future. Speaking of Alaba, his role needs to be redefined. In France he actively hurt the team by driving forward, losing the ball and not getting back fast enough. If he doesn't have an offensive role for his club, he also shouldn't have one for the NT, his footballing brain just can't handle it.

>fullbacks
Drop Suttner and Garics, take a look at Stangl and any half-decent footballer that could play RB. I also think that Baumgartlinger would be a more effective captain than Fuchs, but that's just my opinion.

>centrebacks, goalkeeper
Fine as is, maybe get Wimmer more minutes.
>>
>>69034270
>Djourou out, Klose in
Klose would probably make the same mistakes and Djourou actually didn't play that bad

>Lichtsteiner reduced to a sub by the next world cup
Lichsteiner had some good offensive action

>Frei in for Dzemaili
Or use Xhaka / Shaqiri in offensive midfield, just anyone who can make the important passes

>Switch to a 442-Diamond system
Xhaka and Behrami as defensive midfielders did pretty well tho
I'd rather like to see a classic 4-4-2 with Seferovic and Breel "Meme-Song" Embolo as forwards (Derdiyok is shit) and Shaqiri / Mehmedi on the sides, drop Dzemaili
Also that means you can still switch in Dzemaili or Frei if necessary and Embolo can play on the side if needed

But most important
>Get Marcel Koller to coach our team now that the Austrians hate him
>>
>>69035901
>Get Marcel Koller to coach our team now that the Austrians hate him
The guy has a contract until 2018 and >we sure as hell won't give him away before that.

>Implying anything could help Onglond become good.

you suck brits, I'd just stop watching the game if i were you.
>>
>>69035901
>Djourou actually didn't play that bad
He got lucky that Sommer was there to bail him out whenever he fucked up. He dwindled on the ball too long, and almost caused a goal against Albania, fucked up a pass against France , which almost let Griezmann in, and then fucked up another pass against Poland which would have resulted in a goal if Milik could actually finish.

>Derdiyok is shit
At least he can finish though. What's the point in having Seferovic and Embolo up front, making good runs , if they shoot straight at the goalie whenever they break through the defence? It took a spectacular save to keep out Derdiyok's chance, it just took saves to keep out any effort Seferovic had on goal.

>a team who can cross
>a team who can shoot

preferably a foreign manager who actually understands modern footy
>>
Well it would be nice if our manager played a midfield next time. That might help a little

>Manager
We have had foreign, we have had domestic, we have had those with EPL experience and tourny experience as a manager or as a player. England needs a manager with some bottle, who will pick players on form, who will shake things up a bit, who will drop players, who will risk things and also who is tactically sound.

>Goalkeepers
Drop Hart, his time as No1 is over and he needs to be told that he will lose his position, give Butland a chance or a few others.

>Defenders
Literally shite, this is Englands weakest area and while we may have good attacking full backs they cannot defend and they cannot mark. CB wise Cahill is consistant but no one else is, smalling cannot pass, jag is over the hill, jones is jones. They need to understand the basics of defending and marking. I would drop the entire defence except Cahill.

>Midfield
We do have some good midfielders the problem was woy picked everyone else like wilshire who has barely played and put rooney in MF because he has dropped off as a striker and everyone thinks we still need him. I would drop the entire midfield.

>Strikers
Pacyblackman aka sterling is a meme just like wright-phillips, lennon, walcott. They run and that is it, do not cross ever and try to 'trick' there way through. Kane is taking FK and corners, why? Sturridge is average and Rashford makes him look amateur atm and Vardy will put in a shift and will force something to happen. I would burn sterling, kane and vardy front 2 and kane takes no more corners or FK.

>Tactics
4-4-2

Forget 4-3-3, we have shite wingers and need to bolster the defence.

>General
Players do not really care while they earn big wages in the EPL surrounded by cheaper foreign imports who make them look meh on the big stages and if one does well the price skyrockets.
>>
>>69037886
>defenders
What about Shawcross? The guy is very much a no-nonsense defender.
>>
>>69037938
I would be fine with that, we do need some tough defenders, some as you put it no-nonsense players.

They will get stuck in, they will actively defend and put up a fight for the ball.

Cahill is as close to that in the squad, but every other CB is weak like Smalling.

Back in the day you had Sol campbell, adams, keown, terry and even rio would hammer you and even full backs like pearce.

A strong spine to a team can overcome its weaknesses.
