If you watch American Football and try to anticipate what each coach is thinking it can get extremely interesting.
Don't think about it from the players' perspective. They're mostly just sticking to the script dictated by the play that's called.
I love the tension of a key, late game third or fourth and short.
Boxing
Boxing for sure.
It's always cool to see what adjustments the fighters make.

Sprinting.
If racism is defined as beleivng one race is superior to another and if one watches elite sprinting and still denies races are inherently different, I posit that person is in absolute denial.
Blacks are faster than whites and Asians period.
And if we can agree on that, we might be able to agree that whites are superior to other races in various aspects, and so forth.
Makes one think.

It's not exactly cerebral but yes I guess it does make you think in the sense that you're looking at the fighters and trying to work out how they're each thinking.
I watched a match recently. A Brit was fighting and he took a couple of heavy knocks, he went down, but got back up. You could see he was in a bad state but he masked it very well. Got back up, wasn't being TOO defensive with his gloves (that obviously gives your weakness away to the opponent). He really managed to play his opponent. Obviously he knew if he could keep up a face for a minute or two he would recover strength, and he did. Eventually he won the match.
