Pena stirred up confidence after his first game appearance RBI last week. Good stance at the plate. Pitchers don't know him very well, so that sparkle might wear off, but his approach is nice. Scary defensive liability, but he's also filling Duffman's shoes.
Gillaspie could just be that "le Giants and old minor league shit kicker player magic" man that we occasionally get every once and a while. Good enough offensively, ok defensively.
I was always partial to Susac as backup catcher, but Brown is coming into his own. Had a wreck of a game a couple weeks back where every 2-4 play he tried failed miserably, but you gotta develop ice in your veins, and I feel like he's in a good place for that. Was pretty stoked on he and Williamson last year when we brought them up towards the end of the season.
