Golden goal is the best in theory but it will lead to defensive play, straight to penalties is trash because every somewhat close match-up would end in penalties (look at the last two WC finals..). The system we have now is decent.

Extra time where you take away 2 outfield players (1 must be defense) and have golden goal.
