You can't force him to go to another team. The dodgers and mariners have two important japanese players in Nomo and Ichiro in their history. Maybe those other teams should have looked towards Japanese players in the past to establish a culture there. They will likely look to emulate their national and childhood heroes.

It also helps that the cities have a jpn population.

Which division do you think has the best stadiums overall?

I think the NL Central has a strong case. Wrigley and PNC are both awesome in different ways and I also think Busch and Great American Ballpark are extremely underrated. And I don't think Miller Park is anything special really but there's nothing negative I can think about it

I don't see how you could pick another one honestly. My team isn't in this division by the way

NL West has AT&T, Coors, and Petco, which are all top-tier modern parks, and Dodger Stadium, which is a very very good traditional park that isn't decrepit like Wrigley or Fenway in some parts. Chase is unremarkable (like Miller Park for you) but probably still top 15.

Probably the NL west. Dodger stadium has a beautiful view with crazy sky's and it's HUGE. AT&T is tiny but has good food and has its own atmosphere you could distinguish from television. Coors is nothing special while Chase looks average in television it's pretty nice with the water park and stuff.
>>
>>68595283

I'm not really defending it honestly. I've been there and it's not even a good stadium. I'd say it's slightly below average

These people saying NL West are extremely biased and have no idea what they're talking about. AT&T is amazing and probably the best in baseball. Petco is the most overrated stadium in baseball. Coors is a meme. Chase is okay but unremarkable. Dodgers stadium is average, and that's only because of the history. On its own it's below average

I'm a Giants fan too, but NL Central parks are the best overall. I'd say that it has 4 stadiums in the top 15 easily, and possibly the top 10. PNC is also neck and neck with AT&T when it comes to being the best Stadium

i've been to petco, it's hella comfy and a really nice looking ballpark
at&t is probably the ballpark most overrated by its own fans tbqh
>>
>>68595457
It's gotta be "that old" to be traditional in the sense that Wrigley and Fenway are

Let me list some characteristics of Traditional Ballparks, some call them Classic Era, others call them Jewel Box ballparks
>irregularly shaped outfields, often constrained by city streets (Dodger Stadium has a regular symmetrical outfield confined by only a parking lot )
>often have small, confined capacities, rarely greater than 40,000 (Dodger Stadium seats in excess of 50,000)
>support beams and two decks at maximum (not including a mezzanine) because of the architectural limitations of the era (Dodger Stadium has no support beams and four decks)

tl;dr, the "trashiness" of Wrigley and Fenway is part of what puts them in a different class than Dodger Stadium

here's a good link if you want to learn more about the different era's of baseball stadiums
http://www.andrewclem.com/Baseball/Stadiums_by_class.html
>>
>>68595877
Dodger stadium is pretty amazing. I sat both field and bleeders in the same weekend and I might have enjoyed the bleeders more because of the view. The sky was pink with streaks of red and purple. Amazing. I'm from New York and this is what New Yankee stadium should have been. It's large in capacity and has no bad views.
>>
>>68596052
Dude, I've been to Dodgers stadium. It was a cool experience but there's nothing special about it. Honestly, it's just okay. There's nothing wrong with it really

I don't understand the hype about Petco, but it's a nice stadium

Coors is nice looking, but I don't know, just feels kind of gimmicky for some reason. Partly because of the thin air and ridiculous offense. Still nice though

Chase is perfectly average

I'd put the NL West second after the NL central probably though. Maybe I was a bit harsh on it but that was just to emphasize my opinion
>>

>backpedal after someone calls you out

Yeah, I guess ...so what? I didn't really expand on my opinions at first and just summed it real quick. What's the problem? I said the same thing just with more info
>>
>>68596304
You called Dodger stadium "below average". LA might be a spic infested town but Dodger stadium is a legit top 5 ballpark in America. I've been to AT&T and it's special but there is so many gimmicks and unrelated baseball activities that take up that Park. It's more of a fair/park.

I said it was average, which I think it is. I'm saying if it was built today and didn't have the history surrounding it I would consider it slightly below average. But you can't separate the park from its history. That doesn't mean there's anything necessarily wrong with it, there's just lots of great ballparks that have been built

I can understand somebody not thinking AT&T is the best, but I obviously am a bit biased and love it. I actually think PNC might be slightly better if I'm being honest. The skyline, bridge, and river in the background is amazing

It's a real shame that our homeboy stopped posting the "Daily reminder that the Pirates willingly placed their entire 2014 season in the hands of Edinson Volquez by starting him in the 2014 NL Wild Card game."

Same thing goes for "Daily reminder that the Pirates willingly placed their entire 2015 season in the hands of Gerrit Cole by starting him in the 2015 NL Wild Card game."

Lincecum at his peak is 30% less dominant than Kershaw average performance over the past 4 years. I read that in an article somewhere. Something crazy like Verlander/Felix/Lincecum ay their peak do not exceed what Kershaw's AVERAGE performances have been over the past few seasons.
