Freddy Adu was all hype based on potential. He never actually produced any real on-field results.
Pulisic on the hand already plays meaningful minutes for Dortmund, and has scored goals in his limited appearances. He's also scored a goal for the USMNT.
Pulisic is already a workable asset even if he doesn't really get a whole lot better, and it's not crazy to assume there's a decent chance that he could get a lot better since he's only 17.
