Wilson had been pitching up recently and relying too much on his fastball, which is not a particularly good pitch.
He's a fundamentally solid pitcher when he keeps the ball down and leans on his breaking ball, which *is* a very good pitch. Seems like the pitching coach got this across, because we've seen a ton of curveballs tonight and almost everything has been down.
I think Wilson could be a legit #3 or #4 if he keeps his head in the right place. You can get by with a mediocre fastball if you know how to pitch.
