I was at Officeworks located at Liverpool today and the Printing Service was appalling. I was "served" (I stress that the experience would barely pass for "service") by a lady named 'Rezwana'.
I mere asked for my notes to be printed in colour, and enquired how much either printing one-sided or double-sided would cost me. As I had plenty of notes to print out, and the store was relatively empty, I thought this was a fair question to ask. In response, I received a snide comment about it costing the same (sprinkled with a flair of arrogance of how this poor student must be wasting her time). Alas, I let the comment go, and I asked her to print out my notes in colour.
She scuffled off for a few moments, and came back with my notes printed in black-and-white. I reminded her of my original request - which should have been easy for someone of her position and 'specialisation' in the printing domain. Again, she gave me a look; a look that can only be described as though my existence pains her very own.
By this stage, I was annoyed but I kept my composure. I thought, she must be having an off day, and thus I kept my decorum.
Again, she came back and gave me my notes, finally as I liked them. I thought that would be the end of the affair, until she asked me to pay. At first, she wanted to charge me $22 for a mere 12 pages of coloured printing. I asked her kindly if the price was right. She looked at me, like I was robbing her store and told me that's how much 24 pages of colour had cost me.
I kindly asked her to recount my notes, and I said that perhaps she might have been mistaken. She then reluctantly counted my pages, and realised her mistake and re-keyed the price in her PoS machine. She didn't even give me an apology or a smile. By that stage, I wanted to leave so I paid for it, and went home.
As I came home, I realised she not only made me feel like I was sub-human, but also charged me for charged me for the Black & White pages she had mistakenly printed.

Get this Worst Cuckstralian the fuck out of MY cricket team. I get Worst Australians are conditioned to mediocrity, but this is pathetic. This is LITERALLY the team that won the World Cup little more than a year ago and virtually the entire core of that team is intact. Literally Watson is the only useful player not in the team anymore. The rest were terrible.

Gillespie can takeover when Lehmann eventually quits. Langer is putrid.

To give an example of the precision needed in cricket, this webm >>68486291 is often cited as one of the best balls of the last few years. It's a bit hard to see why from that footage but basically

>height
The position that he bounces it is perfect. It bounces just just just high enough to hit the bottom of the wickets (to get him out). Bounce any shorter and it's an easy shot to take a mighty swing at. You try swinging at a ball at that length and you're probably going to hit it straight in the air.

>line
He's bowling it at the stumps, but it's in the perfect line so that McCullum (batsman) HAS to play it, he can't leave it alone, because he knows it could bowl him (which it did, but that's for another reason). If it was any wider he would have just ignored it, any straighter and it would have been an easy drive.

>deviation
Starc is not bowling that fast. McCullum is one of the best batsmen in the world. It's around 90mph at a guess. McCullum isn't fazed by that. but if you look at where it bounces, Harris gets it to land on the seam perfectly, and just that tiny bit of movement from the seam gripping more moves the ball to the right straight past McCullum's bat and bowls him. It's not about the power of his bowling or doing it really quickly, it's about precision. Nor is batting about power, McCullum would normally just slog it out until the bowler bowls one that is harder for him to hit, it's about DUDE AGGRESSION LMAO and memes.

So to do that, Starc has to not only land the ball in a spot about the size of the ball itself, but he has to land it on a particular part of the ball (the seam) and get it to move slightly to the right (not left, that wouldn't get him shit against a left handed batsman at that angle). THAT is the precision required to get guys out.

Best part about that ball?

It was the fourth fucking ball of the game.

I think Zimbabwe is done

These tests >we're playing against them will be their last. That' still a lot better than Zimbabwe though.

Also I'm not sure about the weather in Ireland but doesn't it rain a lot over there as well?
>>
>>68489970
Yes, conditions will be northern England tier. You're unlikely to get an uninterrupted test match there.

>>68490007
That's a shame.

Malaysia's pretty much the same though, except it rains everyday and it's heavy tropical rain.

"Zimbabwe have a chance of winning" - Ankush

Reminder to NEVER listen to ANYTHING Wankush says about cricket
>>
Don't think it should be possibly to become a Test status nation without having a first class domestic competition in your country. This is what held back Bangladesh for many years. No reason Ireland couldn't create one, even if it was just 4 teams.Obviously makes it difficult for Afghanistan though.
>>
>>68490188
Ireland LITERALLY already have one for all three formats in everything but official status. They've done absolutely everything they can possibly do to succeed as a test nation.
>>
Already getting bites lads
>>
>>68490250
>They've done absolutely everything they can possibly do to succeed as a test nation.
Except for the part where the Irish public doesnt give a shit about cricket.

That's why the ICC put faith in Bangladesh and Afghanistan are being propped up so much, there is genuine grassroots interest
>>
>>68490306
There's been constant growth in the sport though. You've got to remember Irish cricket outside of the protestant population in Northern Ireland was virtually non-existent a decade ago.
There's an effective cap on how much they can actually achieve with their current funding though.
>>
>>68490396
Yeah I don't dispute they've made progress and I'm also in favour of them having Test status. For me the big difference between Ireland and Netherlands or North England is that they have actually produced home-grown talent, even if they do have a few aussies and kiwis in there.

That said, I seriously doubt Irish cricket can progress much further. The weather issue is obvious. Ontop of that Ireland is an established sporting nation with what, 5 mainstream sports already? I suspect it would be really difficult to break another into the mainstream. Every Irish anon who has ever posted here has said its impossible
>>
>An amazing 24,654 youngsters are now playing the game in comparison to 11,955 in 2011, a rise of 105 per cent according to figures released this week by Cricket Ireland.
>There was strong growth recorded throughout all categories in the survey undertaken for the International Cricket Council (ICC), with the overall participation figure for cricket standing at 40,414 - up from 25,170 in 2011 - an increase of over 60 per cent. There has also been a 29 per cent increase in the number of active coaches in Ireland, increasing from 910 to 1175.
>In a further sign of the game’s increasing popularity throughout Ireland, the number of teams playing the sport increased from 895 to 1056.There’s been an incredible expansion in the number of junior teams across Ireland, while adult team growth has also been strong in the Connaught and Munster areas, where the game has enjoyed a surge in interest following Ireland’s exploits on the world stage.

Obviously it's still very very niche in Ireland, but it's still an area with potential, especially given that it's unironically their most successful sport.

they have produced a few decent cricketers eg morgan, ed joyce, o'brien brothers, boyd rankin etc. giving them test status will increase popularity and potentially lead to finding more talent like this, and I imagine it could become like football where english players with irish grandmothers etc would play for ireland just to play test cricket, rather than never getting picked for england at least playing. would mean their white ball stuff gets better as less players would be poached for england

>Steve Waugh, Australian cricket legend, believes Australia's best four pacemen rival "any quick bowling quartet" in cricket history. Playing 168 Tests during a lengthy career spanning from 1985-2004, Waugh played with and against some of the best pace bowling arsenals ever assembled. In the Australian summer of 1988-89, Waugh faced the fearsome West Indian pace battery comprising of Malcolm Marshall, Curtly Ambrose, Courtney Walsh and Patrick Patterson. Unable to curtail them, Australia were thrashed in the opening three Tests and lost the five match series 3-1.

>But the 51-year-old believed Australia's best current pace bowlers, if fit, could match any pace battery ever assembled. "I can't wait for all of the quicks to get together who are injured now," Waugh told foxsports.com.au on Wednesday (June 15). "James Pattinson, Pat Cummins, Mitch Starc and Josh Hazlewood as a quartet would be as good, if not better, than any quick bowling quartet in the history of the game."

The classiest, calmest man on a cricket field, Hashim Amla's name is etched in South African cricket history. With his wristy leg-side flick and serene cover drive, Amla became the first South African to score a triple century in Test cricket, while also effectively shifting gears to become the fastest batsman to 2,000 (40 innings), 3,000 (57 innings), 4,000 (81 innings) and 5,000 (101 innings) runs in ODI cricket.

It's not gambling when you always win. I know more than the bookies, they're just sheep. I am enlightened and use my superior mind to routinely outsmart them. I have more than $5000 in accounts across different countries, sites, and passports. I'm like a wolf, the wolf of bet365. I OWN the streets, the books, and hold all the cards. I am the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. If you think you can outsmart me, think again, bucko.

No, I'm not addicted, gambling isn't addictive. I am just making money, like any man. If only peasants like you could understand my genius
