Yeah they've got an Ultimate Team mode but I never really play it. Their version of pro clubs is amazing and they've got a mode where you're in a park and just drop in to courts to do 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 with your created player. I pretty much just play that.

And you don't need a specific player to make a legit story, you need creativity and some actual imagination. But then again, this is modern gaming; pandering, progressiveness, and lack of real content are all of the current tenants.
Also, since EA plan to have a straight foreword story, your decision making will be minimal, at best. Despite my gripes with the game this team is fucking fun to use. Elton is Insanely Overpowered for a turbo Manlet the game just completely freaks out when he's on the ball. Giuliano is one of the best CM's i've used. Freaked out when i saw a Silver Fernandinho again as he was my favourite silver from FIFA 11 and he's fucking solid as fuck. quite strong for a manlet.
