>leave the eu
no, dumb idea. i'm against it because of my job etc, but a lot of people stand to suffer on a security front. EU shares information well about terrorist attacks etc. Only way I can see leaving EU working is if it forced change and makes the EU less of a bloated self-serving bureaucratic0 nightmare
>control migration
controlling european migration, unskilled labour coming in from EU forces the government to turn away skilled workers/people who actually need our help due to influx of unskilled labour. example lots of children trafficked as sex slaves from russia etc are sent back because the government just need to hit immigration targets, and the children end up being abused again and probably straight back. we could help people like this but can't/won't currently.

I'm going for jobs at a bank in risk analysis. basically if we leave the EU less investment as less access to europe which is why a lot of people invest in the UK. a lot of banking issues arise from confidence, so even if the UK ends up being able to trade as part of the single market in europe a lot of people will rush to get money out of Britain as soon as we leave, leading to more and more people doing it etc.would risk the job I have a very high chance of getting because who wants to take on workers during a time of uncertainty?

most of it, the fact /pol/ blames minorities for everything. it's the culture they come from's fault, simple economic fact proves this most of the time. in the UK assuming every factor is equal testing of white and black kids in school leads to equal results. in america, black kids at 'white schools' do the same as white kids, everyone at 'black schools' fail, meaning black culture in america is flawed. yet pol claims niggers are dumb constantly. exact same situation with muslim countries their culture is horrible, which they bring to european countries. take them out of it and they are fine

Hazlewood is LITERALLY the 2nd best bowler in the world, only behind Broad

The way I see it, Starc is the most talented bowler in the world, but Broad is the most skillful, followed by Hazlewood.

To be a good test bowler you have to have an exceptional skill. James Anderson for example is a master of swing bowling. However, the reason Dale Steyn is an entire tier above Anderson is because he is just as good a swing bowler (atleast with the outy), but did it at 145 kp/h rather than 135 kp/h.

For me, Broad has the widest skill set to be successful in all conditions. Height, control of line and length. Decent control over the seam. Decent pace if he isn't being a fucking sook. Hazlewood is in the same mould. He swings the ball conventionally and with reverse. He seams the ball if that is on offer. He has good height and he has wonderful control of line and length. Basically McGrath-lite

The reason I say Starc is the most talented bowler is because he has the most toys. He has the height, he can swing it more prodigiously than Broad or Hazlewood and most importantly, he has express pace. The one thing he doesn't have yet is a radar, and that's why Hazlewood>Starc

Hazlewood is the guy you can bowl for 6-7 overs, set up a batsman and execute a plan. Starc is basically the guy who you bring on for 3 overs to see if he pulls an unplayable "jaffa" out of the bag and gets a wicket out of nowhere. And I would always take a reliable, pressure-building bowler like Hazlewood over a le impact bowler like Starc.

if Starc can find a rader like he has when bowling yorkers (which is why he is literally THE GOAT in white-ball cricket) he will be GOAT-tier.

>>
>>68281417
Only half memeing, grew up in Worcestershire and always supported them. As a junior I played against D'Oliveira and Rhodes, and have met Rhodes Sr a few times. Yeah plenty of potential in the squad, hopefully brother Mo has paved the way for Worcestershire players to get a look in on the national stage, because the likes of Solanki, Davies, Batty, Moore and Ali all kept getting overlooked and jumped ship to bigger counties (and barely played for England again).

>the mullahs of pakistan

They are literally only relevant because of the Pakistan Army's Islamifaction policies in the 70s to consolidate their power. Pakistan was slowly becoming as secular as India before that.

>the oppressive dictatorships of the middle east

You can thank the British, French and Americans for that. Those dictatorships are in place so we can have our oil.

>the horrific and barbaric practices of indonesia

Elaborate?

>the police state of iran

Yet again, oppression fosters radicalism. Iran LITERALLY elected a secular democratic socialist in 1953 and the Brits and Americans LITERALLY threw him out because he wanted to nationalize their oil. The ayatollahs swept in power because they win hearts and minds. If you're poor and some priest gives you free food and education because his god tells him to, obviously you're going to support him over some corrupt Shah.

Anyone who thinks Islam is the root cause of these countries' problem is historically retarded and needs a proper history education. Islam is a dogshit religion, but facilitates these problems more than it creates them. It's also had its bright spots like the Islamic Golden Age.

While Western Europe was being eaten by rats and blaming Jews for it, the caliphate had made some of the most crucial steps forward in science and maths. You literally wouldn't have algebra if it weren't for Muslims.

I'm no fan of Islam by any stretch, but give credit where its due.

Yeah I initially thought it could be a good move to allow an extra batsman but really you'd just be able to swap Chandimal for Mathews and that may not really be a big advantage. Joyce is probably a better batsman than Shahzad, definitely more proven (though not as an opener).

He does keep in Afg's 4-day games sometimes but they prefer for him to not do it. His 200 came when he wasn't keeping.

And yeah Kohli and Rahane is 50/50 but I prefer Rahane slightly, he's a bit more trustworthy in tests.

I meant to say average.

Excluding Rahane's twin century against SA (which was pretty good), he averaged 30 in tests in 2015. This includes a 98 against Bangladesh and a 126 against Sri Lanka. It's not bad but a generally disappointing year of essentially statspadding.

Kohli averaged 42 if you include his century against Australia in that one amazing series, but averaged 34 if you exclude it. His form kind of continued in the series against Sri Lanka but then he didn't do much in the series against SA other than a 44 and an 88 in the last test.

still, you can't argue that they are pretty decent per capita. Not as good as South Africa or West Indies, but not bad. They are objectively a better cricket team than Sri Lanka who have 5x their population and care about the sport alot more than they do

...and then there is Bangladesh
>>
>>68299273
His captaincy pushed him over
>>
>>68299334
>Not as good as South Africa

Saffers have like 4 times your population and 16 times ours. They should be a lot better than they are.
>>
>>68299334
Sri Lanka had a fucking terrible domestic system, internal conflict and less time as a test nation and still produced Mahela, Sanga and Murali
>>
>>68299362
The White South African population is about the same as yours, and the kaffirs barely play cricket

South Africa pre-exile which was 100% white was objectively better than any Poo Peeland team ever

Infact South Africa of the 70's was a golden generation that didn't get to play international cricket. Pretty much a sporting tragedy. But a sporting tragedy <<< the real tragedy that was apartheid South Africa
>>
>>68299362
Population literally doesn't matter.
>>
>>68299415
That's no excuse. If you don't give us a respite over the dominance of rugby, South Africa doesn't deserve one over its own fucked up society.

Clearly you are negatively disposed to everything New Zealand so no, I'm not discussing this further. My impartiality de facto makes me the winner and my argument superior.

Feel free to discuss this with other bigoted cretins on /cric/ though.

Oh fuck off. Fleming and Vettori both played over 100 tests, if that isn't notable I don't know what is. Fleming is widely recognised as one of the best captains of his era and Vettori recognised as one of the best left arm spinners of all time. You can go cry about >muh averages all you fucking want, all five of those are household names in NZ, I can guarantee you absolutely fucking no one here knows who Mark Craig is.

Literally why are they a test side anymore

Just axe them and promote Ireland

They're LITERALLY never going to recover and they're UNIRONICALLY projected to double their GDP per capita in over a hundred years, which is the worst of EVERY African nation. There is no future in that shithole, yet the ICC keep throwing money at it.

Australians.

>>68304749
This tbẖ
>>
Execute Srinivasan and Clarke tbqh

The whole Ireland situation makes me FUCKING seethe. Ireland LITERALLY have a better domestic structure than Bangladesh and Pakistan, have shown that they can maintain their strength unlike Kenya and are ENTIRELY self sufficient as a professional cricketing body, while actual test nations like Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka are LITERALLY running at a loss.

Just give them fucking test status you hacks. I will LITERALLY go full Mark Vermeulen on the ICC HQ if this doesn't happen
>>
>>68304749
Australians on /rug/ are based though

/cric/ is /nrl/ only that the autism isn't even entertaining

Although I enjoyed the Brexit debate yesterday
>>
>>68304749
This. The Australians in /rug/ can't act like the ones in /cric/ because their team is shit and they'll get laughed at. The fact that the Australian cricket team is historically good means that the insufferable faggots here have a massive superiority complex and will literally refuse to accept any NZ player as being good, ever.

>>68304765
They also have an entire team's worth of fully professional players in the county championship already. How many pro players are there in Zimbabwe?
>>
>>68304776
Which is funny, because KrazyKrezja is the pioneer and driving force behind the Poo Peeland rhetoric and is a DEVOTED member of the /rug/ poomunity.
>>
>>68304812
>a DEVOTED member of the /rug/ poomunity.
Not really. He constantly talks about how he's a "casual".
>>
>>68304765
What pisses me off even more than denying test cricket to Ireland is the lack of pyjama they get.

I mean, England are literally right next to them and play about a gorillion games these days. Would it kill them to give them a tri-series?

That rained off ODI last year is the last time they'll play Ireland for years. Ireland are unironically on par with Sri Lanka when it comes to pyjama these days
>>
kek who the fuck is this
>>
>>68304812
That said, I WILL drop a truthbomb on you losers when you say dumb shit like how Boult has bowling chin music or that McMeme and Le Glasses were relevant. I like the New Zealand team, but there are some supreme PP casuals that spout their opinions here sometimes, particularly when playing Australia.

Based. It's good exposure for Ireland, considering that Bongladesh are unironically good in pyjama these days.

I actually like Bongladesh, their ODI team reminds me a lot of NZ in the early 2000s with the amount of utility players they have.

Fucking Pakistan shouldn't even be in the Champions Trophy tbqh, they unironically dodged the Zimmers series because if they lost it they wouldn't qualify

They probably won't select him as he hasn't played any first class cricket since October last year. I think if he was anywhere in the selector's radar they wouldn't have let him go to the IPL.

They probably could, although Pakistan have been bringing up some decent batsmen in their ranks.

But with Rankin back, Ireland's pace stocks are looking a lot better.
