Cant into geography I see. I grew up in SF and san jose is most definitely part of the bay. That doesnt stop everyone from seeing san jose being a forgetful and irrelevant major city. Hell some people even consider santa cruz area to be the bay.

As someone born in San Jose, I lived in Santa Cruz, which is 30 min away and definitively part of the bay. I have family in both cities.
But I've never heard of SJ being referred to as 'They Bay' until many years after I had already moved away. And only ever on /sp/. By annoying ass "swag" Asian twinks.
