>A player who sets a screen shall not (1) assume a position nearer than a normal step from an opponent, if that opponent is stationary and unaware of the screener's position, or (2) make illegal contact with an opponent when he assumes a position at the side or front of an opponent, or (3) assume a position so near to a moving opponent that he is not given an opportunity to stop and/or change direction before making illegal contact, or (4) move laterally or toward an opponent being screened, after having assumed a legal position. The screener may move in the same direction and path of the opponent being screened.

>In (3) above, the speed of the opponent being screened will determine what the screener's stationary position may be. This position will vary and may be one to two normal steps or strides from his opponent.

If you read (3) and the first bit of (4) clearly, you cannot move towards an opponent after setting a screen (getting into a legal position).
-This is where GSW gets away with a lot of moving screens.

You CAN move towards the opponent, but give him at least a step or two to stop/change directions BEFORE you set a screen.
Everyone gets away with this by literally running straight into the guy and setting the screen.

To clarify:
Once you set a screen you cannot move towards or laterally to block the opponent defender being screened once the pick is set.
If you watch Andrew Bogut and Draymond Green closely, they do this nearly every time for Curry/Thompson to get open shots.

Lebron "slips" the screen by moving away from the defender after setting the pick, which is 100% legal by the rules.

Just read the rules carefully a few times and slowly. They are actually very clear and specific.

its basically what the seahawks did when they won. commit an illegal play every time down the court and they cant call them all.

Precisely.

The problem with the NBA is that the general complexion of the game has shifted towards teams being rewarded far more greatly for their offensive effort rather then defense. In today's game, with all of the "soft" calls, it is very difficult to be a defensive team and win.

The GSW organization knows this, which is why they literally just signed a shit load of glorified shooting guards to just rain threes. They just shoot 3's all day until they start dropping (Klay was 0/4 or something until he finally adjusted to get his shot right and kept knocking it down; same for game 6).
This is also why Draymond Green works for this system, since most 3 point shots lead to long rebounds, so all he has to do is box-in opponents.

The rules in the nba are a joke and an even worse joke is how poorly and inconsistently they are applied
Even the most basic shit like traveling and double fucking dribbles are constantly missed by these stupid old white men in striped tops

I disagree with the rules being a joke, some are fine. It's mostly the ridiculous defensive foul calls given to players who are popular (ie. The Harden shot flop).

I wholeheartedly agree that the NBA refs. miss a lot of calls; they are a complete joke.

I can ref. all of these playoff games better with 1 blind eye.

golden state also gets called one of the least too

In the nfl most if not 98% of the plays are illegal to the playbook but you have 3 refs that must watch the ball at all times, in accordance to 22 players out at a time
In NBA 10 players spread out it shouldn't be that hard to watch them
It's sad how bad the NBA officials are sometimes, still not as bad as the umps in baseball, strikes should only be called if they are in the strike zone

Another reason why it's difficult to spot things in the NFL is that the game itself is very physical - a lot of things happen so fast that it's hard to clearly see things correctly.

You're right about the NBA, though, unless the referees were caught in a bad angle from all sides and the play happened way too closely or quickly, there is no excuse for all of their bad calls.
