Basketball is fundamentally be about figuring out how to put the ball in the basket, not how to exploit the rules to derive the most points. If a rule gets exploited to the detriment of the fundamental purpose of the game, it's not a good rule.

If that team existed then yes they would be better off shooting from far away even if the 3 point line didn't exist. In reality however the 3 point line essentially makes a 35% shot from 25 feet better than a 50% shot from 20 feet.
Because anybody who calls themselves a "fan" of GSW doesn't actually watch the games and see the sloppy and illegal screens that they set all game to get those 3's off.
