Impossible unless injury crisis. Yes, De Rossi did play some CB when he was younger, but to being with, he'd play the central ball handling role of Bonucci, so no reason not to play Chiellini instead, and further, we're too lacking in defensive presence in the midfield to use him on defense. The best you're gonna see is him playing as a sort of half back Cambiasso style that become the central in a 3 man defense when not in possession if Gonde wants to have the fullbacks press hard (which he might because our "wingers" play too much towards the centre so we can use the width).
