Since the Olympics tend to completely ruin whatever city they're in.... The IOC needs to designate 4 cities/locations to act as permanent Olympic venues that are in rotation. Build these super centers that will act as both venues for Olympic games AND training centers in off periods between events held at those locations.
Save the headache of rushing to build mega event centers that are poorly constructed, and pretty much abandoned when the games are done.

Eh I think there are too many good host cities to do that. They should be more selective though. 1st world countries only, along with Russia and China since they're so big. Just no Greece or Brazil.
Like, how do you choose which city in Europe to use? Rome, Paris, London, some German city?
Which Asian city, is it gonna be in Japan or China? Wouldn't the other be upset?
I think using Los Angeles as the only North American site would be OK actually.

Depends on which games we're talking about. Expand it to maybe 6 or 8, so there's 3 to 4 locations for each winter and summer games.
As far as countries being upset.... I remember reading some article somewhere that talked about some countries not wanting to even be considered for hosting a games because of how fucking devastating the whole thing can be. I'm sure there would be some public outcry "We really wanted to have the summer games make their home here!" But have the same officials saying "Fuck, we dodged a bullet there, guys.... Whew!"
Just an idea, anyway. At least it would be a consistent thing, instead of seeing disasters like we saw at Sochi, or wherever the winter games were held.
