Then you have the fact they have one of the most dominant wings in basketball history with KD and Westbrook, but their backcourt is a little weaker due to Dion's streakiness.
Tristan Thompson, Kevin love, Shumpert, and JR, are all big guys that can shoot well from long range. Something all of OKC's bigs don't have.

One of the reasons I think the Thunder are doing so well right now is because of that game one against the Spurs.
It exposed their lack of hustle and commitment as a team at being consistent and it really drove the point home to them that they were kidding themselves if they actually thought they could win a championship, just like KD said in an interview.

By all measures, he had a horrific rookie season. From off the court immature shit, to on the court performance. The stats themselves aren't terrible, but they don't really tell the story about how horrible his defense was, how he was kinda a chucker...and more importantly, how much better the 6ers were when he was OFF the floor since Noel and Okafor can't play together. And then he got injured.
Pretty much deserving of a 9001st spot on any rookie power rankings.

Jokic was crazy underrated before he got big minutes the last two months, but we still can't just pretend 3/4 of the season didn't happen. He was putting up 9.5/6 until March while getting exploited heavily in pick and roll situations (perfectly normal for a rookie, obviously). His minutes were low, so when he started getting 25-30mpg at the end of the season he was still fresh enough to make the most of them. KP had a way larger load on both ends all season long, so fatigue set in and his touch started to fade a bit toward the end. Still, his shooting is really the only area he lost ground. He remained a dominant defensive force and finished the season 6th (using generous qualifiers) for Diff% inside 6th feet, among the best at weak-side help, and even came out on top on most of his perimeter switches against guards. That's where the votes really came from imo.
