The fact is, they only needed a DRAW (1 POINT) against an already RELEGATED Newcastle who had no reason to perform other than "I can then be bought by one of the EPL clubs". But that isn't a 5-1 performance. If Newcastle did that all season they'd be in Top 10 easily.
Spurs have 'the best team in EPL era'. They still finished below 'eternal shit irrelevant tier Arsenal'. Spurs were 2-1 down against 11 men. Newcastle lost one of their best players to a Red. They then let in 3 more goals.
How does a team suddenly become better than they were with an extra player?
Spurs totally fucked up and you going on about Wenger and contracts and shit is totally irrelevant to the point. Spurs had two chances to finally end up above Arsenal, first time in 21 years, and they fucked it up with the best squad they've had in that period and one of Arsenal's worse.

But even if transfers were the only thing. We all know that Arsenal has a butt-ton of money that they could spend on transfers but which Wenger chooses not to.
The fact of the matter is that Arsenal are one of the richest clubs in England, one of the supposed "big clubs", yet they've failed to win the league during a time period that Man U, Chelsea, and City have all won it multiple times, and also during which Leicester City has won it.
