The amount of misogyny in this thread is really worrying, I know it's 4chan and all but you guys don't really hate the female gender, do you? Females absolutely deserve to earn the same amount as men, they do the same thing, no? Kick a ball around and try to score, they do the same thing thus they should earn the same.

Genuinely think I'd be able to hold my own on a pitch with these lot. They're technically much better than me (though still a long way from male pros), but I'm pretty sure I could just use my added size/strength to bully them out of the game.

>>67571371
Best tactic is to make it physical imo. That's what happened when my U16 team started playing in men's leagues - we were much better than them technically, so they started kicking the shit out of us, making us angry and hurt, at which point we'd start to make mistakes. Just make sure you get as much player as ball whenever you make a tackle, and they wouldn't be able to handle it.
>>
>>67571417
Makes me wonder if they had good managers if they'd actually get somewhere. Apart from stuff like them just being generally slow, I refuse to believe that the reason they misplace every pass is because they're a woman.

How often do they even train? Don't they still get their wages from the FA too?
>>

>>
>>67571483
Think they've been playing with that kit for a while now
>>
>>67571464
It's because they're mostly semi-pro.

The quality probably would improve if it was fully professional.
>>
>>67571464
Even a shit manager can teach them that punting a ball at your mates chest from 3yds is a poor choice of a pass.
>>
>>67571472
It's relative. They aren't playing against fucking lanklet men are they?
>>
>>67571464
The top division is all pro now, they train as much as the men they are just shit at it compared to men
>>
You are now aware that Chelsea ladies is in the CL while the male team is not even in EL.
>>
>>67571499
I think that too. The bar for actually becoming a womens footballer just seems so low. If the clubs paid them according to their skill maybe some of them would make an effort to actually get good.

>>67571508
You know when some kid relative comes up to you and shows you something absolutely fucking stupid, but you just say "That's nice" and praise them anyway? I honestly think that's what these managers must be like.

Who would be the best manager to scream at them and tell them to stop being so stupid?

Apples and potatoes.
>>
>>67571537
>The top division is all pro now
Wrong

>The WSL 1 currently consists of nine clubs and the season is played over the summer months.[16] Initially the league was described as professional, with the top four players on each team being paid an annual salary in excess of £20,000.[17] However, in November 2010 it was confirmed that the WSL will be semi-professional, with only a "handful" of top players full-time.[18] Club's annual wage bills will be approximately one-tenth of those in the American WPS.[18] The FA envisage that the league will become fully professional in future, should it prove successful

iirc the top players are all pro now, and I assume their funding comes from some sort of national governing body because I'm sure they don't bring enough revenue in to fund it themselves. It's a bit like disabled sport, where they get lots of funding for no real reason other than equality. I'm studying sport psychology and am looking for opportunities in pro sport (although I'll probably give up because it's a shit career) - there's lots of opportunities in women's and disabled sport because of their funding, but none at pro football clubs lower than the Championship, even if they're getting 10-20k people turning up each week, because they can't afford those support staff.

In your opinion.

Just don't pay for it if it upsets you. Don't use their website, don't listen to their radio.

You can successfully avoid paying the TV license if you're clever.
>>
The BBC should drastically reduce the license fee, stop focusing on so much 'entertainment' programmes, and just stick to politics and some radio along with more relevant/high brow stuff. Just a basic public service that at least attempts to be politically unbiased (despite their admitted institutional bias).

Ok I'll say what I do like about the BBC. It does show things that no other channels would, like this game we're supposedly watching. The Invictus Games that are on at the moment, Eurovision (it's shit but it's not the BBCs money anyway), BBC News is the best even if it has become more biased, the world service is great.

Problem is those things don't cost me 150 quid a year to watch. Whereas stuff like the Graham Norton show must cost fucking loads. I still can't believe people will watch what is essentially an advertisement or stage for shills. People like Chris Evans being paid far far too much.

>>67571932
Think they're losing Bake Off too which is a start. The problem with the BBC is is that it's supposed to entertain everybody, but over the years it's stuck to one demographic really. Far too many quiz shows, panel shows, singing/baking etc contests instead of putting at least some time aside for people who aren't potatoes.

I never watch the TV but had it on the other morning and they were having a license debate. But these, like irrational animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed, blaspheming about matters of which they are ignorant, will also be destroyed in their destruction, suffering wrong as the wage for their wrongdoing. They count it pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, while they feast with you.”

>BTW, if you're only using the radio you can buy a monochrome TV license that costs £49 that will cover you.
I want my money to go towards what I do use though. If I buy a TV license they'll focus more on TV because more people have televisions is what the data will tell them. It's the reason we have so many entertainment shows, because they get the biggest numbers and so they focus on that.

Problem is it's people like you or people who do watch strictly and other entertainment who just drown out the other voices. If you say you want to cut funding because it's not good value you get attacked. People talk about Murdoch being the one the political parties want to keep on their side so he doesn't rape their appearance around election time, but as we were shown the other day the BBC is just as powerful a tool now especially for the left.

I don't watch Strictly, Eastenders or much of the other light entertainment stuff. Some people clearly do though, license fee-payers, who themselves have a right to an opinion on what the BBC produces.

>>67572625
The BBC has been attacking the conservatives and UKIP pretty frequently for the past number of years. The conservatives would love to get rid of the fee but they can't because they'd be slaughtered.

Most of the BBC political showings now consist of "My opinions > yours" instead of a debate.

I didn't say that. But they definitely do attack them a lot less. Jeremy Corbyn would be gone by now if they did at the same rate.

It wasn't always like this sure. But there's definitely a bias being shown in most things by the BBC now. Do you think this isn't true?

I think he would. He's already constantly at the threat of being deposed I think if the media were against him too it'd give rise to challenges by other members of the party.

I don't really like the current conservative leadership either really, but everything for them is going decently so far except for press coverage. Things like the doctors strike is being put on the health secretary instead of the PM.

the irony of course is the Conservative party now want to enshrine the BBC's diversity agenda into its royal charter. The same Conservative party that cuts police funding, campaigns to stay in the EU, accepts mass migration and multiculturalism as positives to British society and the same Conservative party smelly leftists complain is too "right wing".

Laura Kussenberg can't hide her contempt for Corbyn if she tried, it's something the lefties use to attack the BBC's impartiality.

So, what you're saying is, Arsenal did fucking amazing? After all, we're not even the biggest team in North London. So being 3rd is pretty fucking good. Especially since Spurs (the biggest in North London) took 2nd (it might not be by Monday!).

That's not bad desu.

But I'm sure the £2.25 Billion team of Chelsea and £1.25bn team of City aren't as big as Arsenal, or are they? What about £300m United?

Which is it? Either Arsenal are small and thus they've overachieved, or they are big and they underperformed.

Which is it anon?

refball + injuries. Gabriel got sent off at Stamford Bridge for being punched 3 times by coster. Dembele can eye gouge Costa and not even pick up a yellow. Dier can pull someone's shirt right in front of the referee and not get a second yellow card either.

The reality is Arsenal are a bigger club than Tottenham. If we weren't, we wouldn't be second favourites for the title next year behind Man City.
>>

>>
>>67573089

>>67573135
I do think that. Corbyn might not even have the media on his side, but the fact they're not putting pressure on a frankly ineffective useless Labour party who has lost Scotland and did extremely poorly in the local elections is benefitting him.

The good thing about people like her and the other bigger names at least is the fact that you see them often enough you know their personal bias. It's the television shows and general news articles that do lean to the left. You need only to look at the coverage of the migrant crisis to see what way the corporation itself leans. From the pictures they use, the narrative, etc.

Having someone like Laura isn't bad, because you can see their name (and picture for some reason) at the top of their articles. If I'm listening to Katie Hopkins on LBC I'm not going to expect something left or even central. People will always be biased one way or another, but it's the things like television shows where it's not done by "Laura Kussenberg" but by "The BBC" where it's a problem.
>>

Yep, do you? Tottenscum finishing above Arsenal is a variance that was bound to happen eventually. Still, it's been half a century since they were the best team in the land and a quarter of a century since they won a major trophy. Only players with mental deficiencies would ever choose Tottenham over Arsenal. We have more fans, a bigger stadium, better players, a richer history, more revenue and a bigger transfer budget. Tottenshit lucking it's way to 1 point above Arsenal for the first time in 21 years doesn't change that
>>
>>67573430
You're misinterpretting what I'm saying. Jeremy Hunt can't do what he's doing without Cameron's approval. Right now though the majority of people are screaming at Hunt instead of asking Cameron to step in and stop it. The BBC can be impartial here but often the union is painted in a good light while Hunt is seen as the big bad.

It's just basic politics that people don't seem to get. Cameron will support Hunt unless he thinks he will lose too much support, at which point he removes Hunt from the cabinet and is seen as doing nothing wrong.
