Of those players we really really could use Beitashour and Morrow back. Marvell Wynne is our current right back but he can't overlap and cross like Beta did. And all our current left backs suck so even if Morrow was only above average he's still better than anyone else we've had there.
We've always played 4-4-2 for the last decade, but I put 4-3-3 to get both Lenhart and Amarikwa in there. All our wingers since the team has moved back to San Jose have been meh besides Salinas. Dawkins was good in his first spell on loan, but now he's been playing way below his previous standard barely scoring or assisting.
The standout performers of that best 11 are of course Wondo, who tied the goals in a season record making like a goal a game with the previous record having been when the league had like 5-6 more games. Also Busch was immense in goal despite being like 5ft10. Lenhart personified the Goonies Never Say Die attitude, love that guy.
I feel like this year is our year lads. The team really reminds me of the team that won the league title/supporters shield (and then choked in the playoffs after injuries...).
