Braves fan here. Heyward is legitimately frustrating to watch. He just cannot seem to put the bat on the ball as much as he should. You'll see some epic strikeouts by him. He is fantastic in the field though, and is a really good dude. He just hasn't come into his own offensively which is why I was so surprised by the contract. I get that he's young and gold glove caliber fielder, but his offense leaves so much to be desired.

Y'know, I think when the Cubs changed ownership, and polished up the front end office, they all felt guilty for long-suffering Cubs fans, and decided "fuck it, let's build a team that will utterly destroy everyone in their path". It's not enough for them to win the world series, which a lot of the time DOES depend on intangibles that are outside of player control (i.e., getting hot at the right time, injuries, blind luck with the bat, etc). This team has to be the best team of all time as well. Beautiful.
