why do english referees often add so much extra time? you never see anywhere else in the world 5 to 8 minutes added

roughly analagous to "why to Yankees-Red Sox games run longer than everyone else's"
it's a league full of prima donnas, they take a little longer to do everything
Yeah you do, 5 to 8 minutes happen nearly every game in south america because usually someone has chimped out and got sent off
>team A draws with team B
>last game of season, drawn on points
>team A promoted
>team B has to play more games

3 min is pretty much minimum
so weird seeing 1 or 2 mins in spain.. just seems odd. 30 secs for every sub already means 3 mins
they don't encourage timewasting as much, as the time is stopped and will be added on unlike in spain

How can one country make so many bad posts?
I've once bet on abrazilian game with 40min extra time

>why do english referees often add so much extra time?
the English hate timewasting and gamesmanship, so it is punished

>hating on based fergie time

No, it's not. If added time actually reflected time wasted we'd be seeing 20-25 minutes added all the time.
this problem could be solved by stopping the clock for any stoppage...

ya no shit lol, why in the year 2016 does this not happen?
>>67408992

because we don't want our games to last 3+ hours like your sports events
