They need to buy backups for Kane and Dier, as well as one solid central midfielder for when Dembele is injured (Mason/Bentaleb/Carroll just aren't going to cut it). A 4th CB wouldn't be a bad idea either, but I've heard that Pochettino wants to use Carter-Vickers or Ball next season so that might not be necessary. With Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, and (hopefully) Arsenal all going through a transition period with new managers, there's a good chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season too. IMO, they have 2, maybe 3 good seasons left before Alli, Eriksen, and Alderweireld leave for bigger clubs. With any luck, those 3 players will bring in enough money to let Spurs pay off the stadium quickly (Alli and Alderweireld will go for at least 50 million each if the Sterling and Mangala/Otamendi sales are anything to go buy).

And obviously new contracts for Pochettino and Eriksen, although Pochettino is supposed to be signing it today or tomorrow and Eriksen will only sign if Pochettino does.

Eriksen, Lamela & Son all could be improved on

feels good man. the title would have been nice but at the start of the season top 4 was a pipe dream so can't be too mad

Levy will give in to his jewish instincts and sell Alli and Kane to United

Eriksen is great in his role, Spurs aren't capable of getting a better player unless Donald Trump buys the club next week. Lamela is the type of player who would be a solid backup at an elite-tier club, like an Argentine version of Ji-Sung Park, which is fine for the time being imo. He's also perfect for Pochettino's system, works his ass off defensively and isn't afraid to play rough. Son hasn't worked out so far, but I'm holding out hope he'll find his Bundesliga form soon. It's too bad that Spurs didn't end up getting Firmino, he would have been perfect.

The main problem is that there aren't many great wingers out there in Tottenham's price/wage range, especially with Levy seemingly determined to sell more then he spends on an annual basis. And Spurs are in the CL for the first time in years, so the prestige of being the Champions League does little to attract players. It's a lot like what happened to Liverpool in 2014, they had the money and they were in the Champions League but they didn't have the rep to attract guys like Sanchez and had to settle for Lallana and Balotelli.

levy already has been under fire by fans, if he does that there will be a full on mutiny because without kane, a lot of other players will leave too. kane may be young, but he's the vocal leader. lloris is captain, but he's not the vocal/get in the shit/etc. kind of player that kane is.

of course, levy has jewed the club more times than i thought possible so i guess it isn't entirely impossible

>levy has jewed the club more times than i thought possible

Do some fans honestly believe that Levy would have sold Modric and Bale if they hadn't wanted to leave? Modric tried to leave a year before he was sold. AVB had to beg Bale to not follow Modric out the door in 2012. And in both cases, Levy eventually ended up getting massive fees for them that allowed Spurs to buy key players (Lloris, Vertonghen, and Dembele with the Modric money, Eriksen, Lamela, and Chadli with the Bale money).

jewvy will sell one of their key players and they will finish 7th next season.

>Lloris, Vertonghen, and Dembele with the Modric money: 30 million
>Eriksen, Lamela, Chadli, and all the shit players (Soldado/Capoue/Paulinho/Chiriches) with the Bale money: 100 million

How did Spurs buy so well in 2012 but so badly in 2013?

Could be worse. Man City spent 100 million on Mangala, Otamendi, and Bony.

Pochettino stays.
Beefs up the team for champions league and a title charge again next season
